We get to see Daretti shift colours as he seeks some revenge.
At first I was a bit dismayed to see his card with two colours, but after reading the story, I like where his character is going. He certainly is an iconoclast.

Hey I guess red gets some artifact destruction now, that's cool. And his ultimate, well, who wouldn't want 3 Blightsteel Colossus (as an example) on the battlefield.

And we get info on Muzzio: He has been sent on a Path to Exile.

I wonder if Daretti has it in for Muzzio. He sure seems to have everyone else from the Academy council on his hit list. My guess is that his attitude toward Muzzio might depend on how much involvement he believes Muzzio had in the accident that ignited his spark. Everyone else seemed to think Muzzio did it, but Muzzio claims innocence; I hope Daretti knows the truth, whatever it may be.

Why, exactly, were the goblins burning the academy? Do they simply like to burn things? I know that Daretti wanted revenge, but was it necessary to destroy all the knowledge contained in the books and scrolls?
I predict that Marchesa shall remain in power when this story ends, setting up for her to possibly be overthrown in a potential third Conspiracy set, if there shall be such a set.
I also like very much how the story of Fiora has no connection to the main story of the Gatewatch, making it its own self-supporting story, which is a good way to alleviate the fears of fans who may not like the Gatewatch receiving so much attention.

I definitely like the Conspiracy storyline for not shoving planeswalkers down our throats. Sure, there was Kaya, but how else could Brago bite the dust. Minimal PW involvement? Check. Focus on non-legendaries? Check.

I'm just really sad new Daretti can't be used as a commander, nor fit into Old Daretti decks...
I love his character though. Kind of like the Godfather of Fiora.

How cool would it be if any planeswalker could be a General, that would be much more fun, and still within the flavor of the game.

DemonDragon, the goblins didn't burn the Academy, they just burned the house of one of the academics.
