Today Leovold gives us a really good summary and a few updates of everything going on.

Leovold does not appear to know of Daretti and his vendetta against the Academics. Daretti is also part of Grenzo's motivation to cause chaos and that is also yet unknown to Leovold.

I also like how Marchesa's spy is clearly so mistaken about the Trestians.

I couldn't help but snicker a bit when Leovold was having trouble finding a term for Brago's "death."

Oh, and #SelvalaforQueenofPaliano. Yes, I said it.

I am finding this story much more exciting than the story of the Gatewatch, so I am very glad that WotC returned to Fiora. I especially liked how this story featured several segments in the form of dossiers; that was a unique touch. The political intrigue of this set is a nice departure from the struggle against the eldrazi that has been the central theme of the previous two blocks, and I will be very eager to see what happens next.

I agree. I'm actually not looking forward to Kaladesh because of the Gatewatch.

Leovold is the most gay elf ever. I love it.

I'm liking his implications about halfway through. He seems to be trying to nudge his superiors to allow him to order a Trestian invasion of the High City, or at least support someone already fighting against Marchesa. Which is sad for Queen Bae, but I digress.

I enjoy the Gatewatch story, but where that is action and existentialism, this is pure drama and politics. Both are good, and I'm happy to have some of one before returning to the other.

I think leovold is the best character we've had in awhile :D

Also I don't know who I want to win more Adriana or selvala.

I think that this story is one of the best we've had in a while. No more boring planeswalker perspective or weak fight scene, we've got some genuinely interesting exposition and we see the world from a new character. It's funny too. I'm hyped for Fiora, but not just because I want to see how the story ends.
