What do you think happened to Sorin and Nahiri after War?

After fighting each other in Single Combat , apparently they put aside their feud to fight Bolas. That was the last time they were mentioned. Do you think they are still planeswalking randomly and fighting? Or are they "look let's just never talk about this again"?

Given that it is not mentioned in the book, I expect it will be mentioned it in the weekly stories.

I suspect this will be one more episode among a number of episodes which will make up their own long-term story arc.

Edit: I also find it amusing that the Gatewatch do not appear to be aware that it was Nahiri who lured Emrakul to Innistrad. Indeed, none of them ever interacted with her prior to the planning meeting in New Prahv.

I’d prefer they set aside their differences and just forget the whole ordeal happened. Emrakuel is sealed in the moon and will be staying there for all they know and I think at this point they should just call it even.

That is most certainly what they should do. I (and my wife - Nahiri is her favourite planeswalker) would much prefer Nahiri to be able to get out from under the label of villain she is currently given by a lot of people. Unfortunately, being dismissed by Sorin and stuck in the Helvault for about 1000 years is somewhat understandably difficult for her to drop as far as grudges go. However, she did get the better of him and seemed to leave it at that up until the war. After Eldritch Moon the ball was left in Sorin's court to seek retribution and he is definitely too proud to drop the issue where it was left. I believe he would be the aggressor/instigator on Ravnica and it's not as though she isn't going to stand her ground (especially if neither of them can flee the plane).

If their duel on Ravnica amounts to a draw then maybe they would each go their separate ways for the time being. Going forward from such an indecisive duel I could see each of them continuing to bear a grudge against the other, but neither feeling an immediate need for further revenge. I think their enmity will continue in this style of opportunistic jabs and retaliations.

The interaction I'm actually surprised we didn't get was Ob Nixilis vs Nahiri. I can see him being much more methodical and sure to win if he ever decides to seek revenge on her. He may just be too pragmatic for revenge though and probably has bigger fish to fry.

She tried to bully Sorin into helping out and got her behind handed to her and as part of the transgression, got a bit of a time out in the Helvault. So, as a revenge for Zendikar, which she did not even check to see if it was OK (spoiler: it was), she murdered Sorin's whole family and burned his home to the ground. When he was understandably angry with her over that and a short duel later, Sorin ends up imprisoned in a stone wall.

Oh, lets not forget she lured the Eldrazi to Innistrad, which is something she knows is the worst thing to happen to a plane. All in the name of something that did not happen.

Only then does Nahiri leave. Heck we do not know if she even visited the completely eldrazi free Zendikar. A logical character would visit Zendikar, see it is fine, go back to free Sorin and apologize. But instead we get the exact same Nahiri in WAR as we did in SOI block, with an equally ticked off Sorin.

She didn’t try to ‘bully’ Sorin into helping on Zendikar, it was literally his job to help. He, Nahiri, and Ugin were the people who sealed them up in the first place and made a deal that Nahiri would stay on Zendikar eventually entering a meditative slumber waking up when she felt when the Eldrazi started to break free that also was supposed to send a message to the other two to come help reseal the eldrazi. Ugin was dead at the time and Sorin’s helvault blocked out the message since it was coming from another plane. So after having to check the seals and fix them she went to Inistrad to see what was going on. Then yada yada happens Sorin dosent want to admit his fault that he missed the message and dosent see anything wrong, Nahiri does overreact and a fight ensues ending in Nahiri being put in the Helvault for a “timeout” (6,000 years) when the Eldrazzi started to break free again. He tried to free Nahiri at this point, but couldn’t without destroying the Helvault that would have also released all the demons sealed inside so he decided to leave her in there and went to find Sorin, once again still dead.

Literally the only reason Nahiri ever got out of the Helvault was because one of Liliana’s demons were inside it and she needed to kill him. She then went to Zendikar and saw the Eldrazzi were free and starting to destroy her plane, not aware the Gatewatch was working to get rid of the Eldrazzi. Then she went back to Inistrad and destroyed Markov manor, putting the vampires into stone walls in a similar way she would later do to Sorin. Then we get to her summoning Emrakuel to the plane as her last act of revenge on Sorin.

Sorry for the long post, but long story short they are both screw ups when it came to the whole Eldrazi disaster. Nahiri for overreacting to Sorin not coming to help the first time, Sorin for sealing her in the Helvault for thousands of years, and then Nahiri’s revenge on Inistrad. Neither character is really justified in there actions in any manner, so here is hoping they’ll just bury the hatchet.

Edit: He went to find Ugin after the Eldrazzi started to break free the second time.
