What Tribe/Creature Type Should Be Featured?

Man, I haven't posted in a while... But hey, I love seeing the cool stuff you all come up with, so I just keep coming back!
Okay this time around, I want to know about tribes! Recently, tribal has been seeing a resurgence as a theme in Magic. Ixalan stars Pirates, Merfolk and even Dinosaurs. On top of that, Commander 2017 was all tribal, and Iconic Masters focused on some of Magic's most iconic creature types(sorta).
So! My question is, if you could pick a creature type or tribe to be featured in the next Magic story, what would it be? If it's a type that's had some lore features, how would they be different this time? What kind of story would they be involved in?
A civilization of humanoid trilobites (another new Ixalan creature type, in Shore Keeper). No idea what they would do, I just think that would be fantastic.

I want to see a Norse themed plane with Vikings at some point. We already have Kaldheim, a snow plane that hasnt been used yet, represented in Skybreen so i would love to see a Norse setting put there, maybe bringing back snow mana, and of course having Vikings.

I'd like to see kithkin again I wasn't playing last time they where printed. I also think dwarfs could be cool if they keep them traditional and not like the way they botched them in kaladesh. I'm surprised dogs where never pushed as a tribe

I second shadow63's idea about dogs. I mean, cats got leonin and the dog humanoid equivelent is... werewolves? I would like to see an actual Hound tribal card for domestic dogs, similar to Regal Caracal is for cats.
After building my Sneks EDH deck, I would really love some more snake tribal cards. And, although I do like Kamigawa, I would like to see some snake lords that are more traditional snakes instead of snakes with arms.

I mean theres also wolves which are close to dogs. Honestly I dont know if anthropomorphic dogs/hounds wouldnt feel too close to werewolves and/or just a lazy dog version of leonin.

Honestly I wish WotC did more with the wolfir from Innistrad. The three they had were fun and there was a lot of potential there I felt but they let it go. Wolfirs could easily translate into a legit creature type in place of wolf warriors.

Ainok on Tarkir are anthropomorphic hounds, so they do exist, just with not much support.

Yeah i wish they did more with the wolfir too, only thing is, they count as wolf creature types. I guess WOTC figured felines only have the cat creature type, while canines have wolves, hounds and werewolves as why they didnt make wolfir another one.

More snake tribal would be cool. But i'd love some new rat tribal, no matter if humanoid like the nezumi or actual rats. Vikings would be awesome, i did't even know kaldheim existed. Snowmana seems obvious for that (kalt: german for cold, heim: german for home). Would be great.
I'm still hoping for the return of ninjutsu btw...ninja turtle should totally be a thing.

I'm just saying, I want a plane that Slivers have control of and didn't get messed over by teleportation into a volcano. (Isn't that what happened to them?)Slivers were the first thing I played with and I love them, annihilator 1 sliver anyone?

dandav0: considering there is Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, we might actually get the unusual existence of an insect lord next time we get to ravnica.

Nephilim! Not necessarily four color, but I just like the idea of primordial beings that weren't bound by specific mechanics. They were all unique, and I'd love to see a tribe where each creature does something different. "My nephilim tribal deck is like a box of chocolates!"

I like it, very original concept. I'd like to see how that deck would play

The zubera all do something different, granted it revolves around them dying but still. Look them up.

yeah that'd be cool too I'd build a deck with them if they had more, but I'm a commander player so...

Yeah they dont work in commander, but Saffron Olive made a hilarious modern deck with them you should watch. Abuses stuff like Return to the Ranks.

I'd say elves and especially Angels need support and reprints. WotC shows so much love to goblins, humans, zombies, and vamps but haven't done anything for elves recently. It's also been literal years since any angel support has been printed to. The whole Shadows over Innistrad block did absolutely nothing for them, i think they may have made 4 - 5 angels for the entire block even though they were the antagonists for the first half of the story.

I'm actually going to post an answer this time around, I haven't done that in quite some time.
I would try to find a new angle to incorporate Hydras with. They may be able to do something similar to what they did with dragons where there are your vicious monstrous dragons (Hellkite Igniter, Scourge of Valkas, etc.), but there are also intelligent, sentient dragons (Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, Dragonlord Ojutai, Dragonlord Silumgar, etc.), and have a single hydra or group of hydras that are intelligent or sentient. This could be harder, as dragons throughout literature have had this sort of rendition for a good long while (see Smaug), but hydras have always been seen as giant unthinking monsters.
Another possibility is to have a group of humanoid or otherwise sentient characters that use hydras to fight their enemies.
Example: A small kingdom of highly intelligent Sphinxes learn to use mind magic to tame and command Hydras and use their unmatched power to conquer a plane.
What do you guys think?
