Where are the heroes?

After looking at Throne of Eldraine's card list, I saw that Chandra/Jace/Nissa are not on there. Who thinks they will come to Eldraine or remain on Ravnica?

Well, they dragged out the physical bodies of Kozilek and ulamog...they're supposedly dead but I think they'll make a come back or their deaths will evoke something far worse. Also, they announced they're going back to theros and zendikar so I'm assuming they're gunna bring back gideon and elspeth.

Ulamog and Kozilek are not coming back. Their entire impossible forms were wrapped in Leylines, trapping them fully on Zendikar, which were then ignited. Burning mana. They were completely devastated.
Gideon cannot be saved, but Elspeth can. The latter is in the Underworld, the former is in the Theros equivalent of Olympus; paradise. Given that the symbol for the return to Theros is an underworld mask, we know Elspeth will be coming back, but to even attempt to resurrect Gideon--which isnt possible--would undermine his legacy and sacrifice, and nullify the emotions wrapped up in his Spellbook cards.

Different heroes for different sets. Believe it or not, the gatewatch is only a relatively recent thing. The protagonists aren't even always planeswalkers. In throne I choose to believe that my boi Garruk is going to be the hero, but it is more likely to be the kenriths.

Zendikar will not have any Eldrazi on it. It will be about adventure and exploration.
And a set without the gatewatch is a victory in my book. The gatewatch is awful. Dry, shallow characters that I, and a lot of other players, can't relate with and don't enjoy seeing. Throne will probably be my favorite standard set since Tarkir.

Emrakul is Imprisoned in the Moon . The short story about that (involving Jace, sadly) is actually quite interesting. I'm more irritated by Wizards declaring that they will no longer be publishing the short stories on their website and have officially moved to "official story book only" style.

/shrug Different strokes for different folks. Personally I love most sets with Jace as the main character, and I've hated every set with Bolas as the main character. I'm definitely down with a short break from the gatewatch though, since I dislike half of the characters on it. #RetireChandra

The biggest problem with the original members of the Gatewatch is they were made into bland, generic heroes, each trying too hard to fill the archetype of their colour. Jace became a generic mind-mage, who always seeks to manipulate the situation--any hint of development he had was often erased alongside his own memories. Chandra is a fairly generic pyromancer, complete with fiery emotions. Gideon was about as dully lawful good as you could make him. Liliana had some potential--she was an evil character doing good, leading to a strong dichotomy for character development... but, whenever we were subjected to her internal monologue in the lore, it felt like the writers never quite knew how they wanted her voice to sound, so her thoughts never meshed well with her actions.
Then we get to Nissa--what Wizards did to her character was unforgivable. Pre-Origins, Nissa was a fairly complex character. She was a protagonist, but she was driven by a fanatical, effectively racist love for her own Plane. She was the kind of complex character that had room to grow and develop into a better person. But, rather than do all that, they just retconned her with Origins, making her into a generic, good, nature-loving elf. Here is hoping that, with her quieting the Gatewatch to focus on Zendikar, that more complex personality will return.
That's why I am glad we are focusing on some new heroes. Eldraine seems fantastic, and Oko has some pretty neat potential to make a non-black-aligned bad guy.
We have some new members of the Gatewatch who might make their story a bit better--Teferi, in particular, is a great addition, as he is a character with a long and rather complicated history.
Finally, we get to the characters I am most excited about, and hope return swiftly--the new Weatherlight crew. This game has spent far too much time focusing on the Planeswalkers, rather than the traditional heroes of older sets. The new Weatherlight crew has a number of very interesting members including an immortal artificer who remembers the worst parts of Magic's history; a knight who fell to vampyrism and is struggling to maintain his morality; an angel who was born for a purpose she never can fulfill, and is determined to find her place in the world; and the descendants of several of Magic's greatest heroes, trying to emerge from the shadows of their ancestors.
That's a team I would love to know more about, and I am really hoping we have a few sets focused on the Plane-hopping ship, preferably pitted against a returned Phyrexia.

oh I don't disagree with you, I think they all at least started off that way when they entered the gatewatch. My issue comes with the ones that stayed that way, like Chandra or Gideon - they never really grew as characters or became any more interesting. I'd say Nissa is the same way, except they hinted towards some kind of change with her when she gained blue in Amonkhet.
Where I disagree with you though, is the last part. I don't hope we follow the weatherlight crew. Magic has already been there, the story already went through that for what, a decade? I don't mind switching up who we follow, but I'd rather not rehash Magic's "glory days".
I think there's nothing wrong with focusing on planeswalkers, just don't focus on the same one for 3 sets in a row. Show my buddy Koth some love, or how about Tamiyo? I'd love to follow her on a story collecting adventure.

Also, the Weatherlight is no longer capable of interplanar travel.

I think they're taking a break before they're off to zendikar to fight some titans.
