Which Character should become a Planeswalker?

I heard this come up as an interesting hypothetical: If you could pick any MtG character to become a planeswalker, who would it be and why?
My personal pick would probably be Niv-Mizzet. One, because I'm tired of entirely humanoid planeswalkers(besides 2 semi-humanoid dragons) and 2, he'd be an interesting threat to some of the other walkers and potentially give a lot to the story.

Braids, Conjurer Adept and Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, despite that they're both from other timelines.

Oh, and why. I just love the idea of this Braids with her quiet power and the different possibilities of her traveling throughout the Multiverse. I would love to get to know her character too. As for Sidisi, I would like a Naga and a Sultai planeswalker and having both in one would be awesome.

My choice would be one of my favorites, Zur the Enchanter.
He was searching for immortality, his followers believe he found it, nobody knows for sure.
New Zur, immortal (like Sorin), and ready to make the Multiverse his.
I really hope we see him again when we return to Dominaria. I expect his new card won't be as good as his original as the original absolutely owns Commander and I've heard he makes a decent Modern deck as well. I expect an Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Archangel Avacyn Flip situation.

You're tired of human planeswalkers yet you want another dragon walker when we already have 2 as well as 1 who can shapeshift into a dragon?
As for me, let's see, we don't have a zombie walker yet do we? That might be cool. Grimgrin anyone?

Well I think all faerie players would love to see Oona, Queen of the Fae in PW form... How it would fit into cannon... I have no idea though. BTW really cool thread discussion topic!

Ghosthunter39 - Urza WAS a planeswalker, and Barrin is dead. Or I think you may have misinterpreted the title.

Yeah I don't mean planeswalker card, but yes, an Urza card would be awesome if he weren't so dead.
Just a non-planeswalker character that would be cool as a planeswalker.
Another idea, one of the Phyrexian Praetors ascending would be pretty intense. Imagine Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite traveling to other planes, or maybe Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur spreading the phyrexian oil to other worlds. I personally hoped that the Planar Bridge on Kaladesh would be used to bring Phyrexians to the plane in an apocalypse type story.

shinobigarth For Zombies, what about Daxos to go with a Returned Elspeth?
Of course we have those Zombie Gatewatch controlled by Liliana from Comic Con, cool cards.
vbfabled Sadly the Phyrexians can never be Planeswalkers. According to their lore, we will never see that.
I would love to see more races explored, like a badass Centaur.

Well, i guess Toshiro Umezawa would be awesome as a mono B planeswalker. He was already close to it in the lore, and his character would make him such an interesting interplanar being. Left aside how awesome his planeswalker card would be...

Toshiro Umezawa because Samurai, albeit the good (cards that are most playable) ones are white.
I'd also like to see Aurelia, the Warleader or an angel Planeswalker in general.

Either way, a Phyrexian invasion of another plane would be pretty cool right about now.

The Raven Man. Find out all this time he's a U/B or U/B/R walker stalking Lily through the multiverse just to mess with her. I agree with exploring different hominid types as well like Centaurs, Minotaurs, Naga, etc.

I'd like Isperia to be a Planeswalker. We've heard rumors of Sphinx Planeswalkers in the past, but never gotten confirmation of one, let alone a card, and I think it'd be very interesting to have such a wise, intelligent creature exploring the multiverse.

I'd like to see Teferi as a planeswalker again, out of all the current planeswalkers only bolas is very smart and most of the others are weak, disappeared somewhere (karn), or don't care about much besides their home plane.
if teferi were to be able to 'walk again, we could see Dominaria getting the spotlight again, also the return of Zhalfir (although im not sure if that could happen considering that jeska made pw sparks weaker)

besides those it would be neat to get an ink-eyes or a Marrow-Gnawer planeswalker

I'd like to see Tamiyo's Nezumi Orphan Child as a future Planeswalker. He's curious enough, and a rat planeswalker would be interesting.

Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite would be terrifying as a planeswalker. Just look at that flavor text.

Fortunately, Phyrexians by definition cannot be Planeswalkers. At least not without transferring a Spark from an existing one, but ignoring wizards could reasonably decide that doesn't work for Phyrexians, its unlikely they would do so even if they were able since they are a force of invasion, not insurgency.

I think she died in the story, but Ashling the Pilgrim.
She could be a (slightly) different take on red from Chandra.
+1 Turn into a creature equal to loyalty counters. Ashling gains haste until end of turn.
-X To damage to target creature equal to X.
-X To deal that much damage to each creature and each player. Sacrifice Asling at the beginning of the next end step.[2]

It's time for a female antagonist, and I would love to see another rakdos PW, so hopefully Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch? Either her or a Phyrexian

On a serious note, I think Thalia from Innistrad would be a pretty decent planeswalker. As would Griselbrand.
