Who is responsible for the time travel in Fate Reforged?

At first I thought it was going to be Ugin's work but then I heard the humans in the Sultai Brood are tying to contact former Sultai leaders. Even the expansion symbol for FR looks like two Sultai fangs curved next to each other.

Didn't urza build a time machine though? Idk if it was ever used other than when karn tried to save jiora though. Annnnyway. I wouldn't be suprised if the sultai caused it. Their devil bargains gave a lot of power, I wouldn't be suprised if a descendent inherited the ability to cause time travel.

On http://www.mythicspoiler.com/frf/index.html, it states that sarkhan arrives just in time to save ugin, honestly there is no way of telling of who it could be, has to be someone powerful and smart, which the sultai are but why would the sultai want to help sarkhan who almost ruined tarkir save ugin maybe its to bring back the dragons idk we will have to wait for December 29th for spoilers to start

Suddenly, out of the blue a flying Police Box comes in and skitters to a stop in front of Sarkhan.
The end.

Sultai does have Dig Through Time . They probaby have some sort of incentive to want to go back in time, maybe to control the dragons rather than kill them?
Also the flavor text for Alpine Grizzly is interesting, saying that bears and Temur "relationship dates back to when they labored side by side under Sultai rule".
So maybe the Sultai ruled over Temur (and possibly Tarkir) in the past and probably want that power again.

Urza and Barrin built the time machine to send Karn back in time. But they never were able to send him very far back. And it eventually blew up and caused all the time rifts on Dominaria.
Weave Fate and Dig Through Time both reference time, so from what we've seen so far it could be Sultai or Temur.

The Planeswalker's Guide to Tarkir suggested that He Who Speaks Twice was, if not responsible, and least quite central to it.

I'm really excited to see what all the clans were like in the past. It'd be hilarious to see Karn take over a Sultai palace just to hang out.

So on Alabaster Kirin the flavour text says
"The appearance of a kirin signifies the passing or arrival of an important figure. As word of sightings spread, all the khans took it to mean themselves. Only the shaman Chianul thought of Sarkhan Vol."
We know the Temur Shamans have a connection with time and have seen multiple nows, including one where Dragons rule on Tarkir instead of the clan leaders.
Seeing as how Sarkhan is in read, I don't see him working with the Sultai, I imagine we will see him working with the Temur to attempt to travel back in time as they seem to have the biggest connection with it and Ugin's bones lie within the mountains which are within the Temur territory.
In "The Madness of Sarkhan" article, he hears Ugin say "Find the doorway", I believe this is referencing to Ugin's body himself, Ugin's Nexus says "All at once Sarkhan's mind fell silent." this might be referring to how Ugin's own bones prevent him speaking to Sarkhan due to the interference from "time fluctuations"
It will be exciting to find out however!

Yeah, I can't wait for this to hash out. Temur definitely makes a lot of sense. But, where does Ramaz come in since he is in Temur colors and a servant of Bolas? I see Bolas using Ramaz to hunt down Vol in order to reign him in or stop him from bringing Ugin back. And of course Sorin would want to kill Ramaz for setting the Eldrazi release into motion. It all seems to line up nice for an epic showdown.

There is one problem few are looking at. Didn't Ugin die BEFORE the Mending? So what would happen with his and Sarkhan's planeswalker sparks? Would they revert to pre-Mending power levels? Before the Mending, walkers were just short of godhood, immortality, and were nigh invincible. So how powerful will Ugin and Sarkhan be, not to mention Ugin's murderer, Bolas? I hate time travel.

No, Ugin died after the Mending. There was an article around Time Spiral that showed Ugin appear.

WotC definitely wouldn't want to deal with premending time travel, plus that article seems to place his death after. But of course that's Future Sight so it could have been any number of possible timelines.

It won't be pre-mending, WotC don't want to deal with that! Did anyone see the new article on DailyMTG about Sorin on Tarkir? Ugin's remains are in Temur territory, so I can see the shamans having some involvement.
Sad Sorin however :(

I read somewhere that Ugin died over a thousand years ago. This would put the event hundred of years BEFORE the Mending. The question is, wouldn't Ugin and Bolas technically be at godlike power levels due to the Mending not occurring yet? Sarkhan we can assume would stay the same because he would be traveling through time in the same form as he was previous the time travel.

No. Ugin died after the Mending. That is a fact. Also, Bolas has always been the strongest Planeswalker (when he's alive, that is. There was a long period where he was... indisposed).
WOTC does not want to fuck around with pre-Mending time travel, trust me. Especially bringing a pre-Mending walker back to post-Mending time.

This is a good question. Really the only time traveler in MTG is Karn, and I'm not making any bets on him appearing. Probably draconian magics.
