Who Is the Best Boi?

We have ten Companions from Ikoria:
card:Yorion, Sky Nomad
It's an important issue that I'm interested to hear the opinions of the masses on... who is the best boi?
Now before we start talking here, let it be made entirely clear that they are ALL good bois and everyone's opinion is valid. Pet preferences differ between individuals, and not every good boi is good for every owner.
With that, happy discussing! Credit to MTGGoldfish for starting this convo on his channel- I just think this is a nicer place to discuss than the YouTube comments section.
- Zirda, the Dawnwaker: c-c-c-combo!
- Jegantha, the Wellspring: I have a soft spot for elementals
- Kaheera, the Orphanguard: going in the wife's cat deck
- Gyruda, Doom of Depths: love the ETB
- Keruga, the Macrosage: boss chonk!
- Umori, the Collector: cool ability
- Obosh, the Preypiercer: cool ability
- Lurrus of the Dream-Den: cool ability
- Yorion, Sky Nomad: meh
- Lutri, the Spellchaser: BANNED
As an EDH player, I'm of the opinion that they belong in the 99 and not in their own companion zone. Not a big fan of "wish" cards, etc. Cool concept though, not hatin'

None of the above. The best boi is clearly Kozilek, Butcher of Truth.

I was so not talking about mechanics but ya know what? We all look for different things in a pet. Keen observations, greyninja.
Dredge4life, I'm interested. What makes Kozilek your chosen animal companion?

Of course! These are new characters and we're having important discussions about their impact.

There's a doggo Partner, and you're going to ask who's the best boi, really?
I think it also depends on what format you're talking about, and whether you even plan on building with the deck restriction in mind. Hands down, Zirda, the Dawnwaker is the most busted commander, but Keruga, the Macrosage is easiest to build as a Companion. Jegantha, the Wellspring slots into Standard most easily, since Fires decks only need to change up a single card or two to meet the Companion building restriction, but I think Lurrus of the Dream-Den is most likely to find its way into the main deck of another deck. I feel like Gyruda, Doom of Depths is most likely to be relevant as a Companion in Pioneer, but Zirda, the Dawnwaker is probably closer to being broken and a half.

ZendikariWol He finds his own food, produces crystals that presumably would be quite valuable, requires virtually no maintenance, and can give you the most realistic VR experience there is. Plus he could communicate with you using some bizarre form of telepathy.

I'm with Azeworai. Didn't even notice the forum, and this looks an awful lot like a card-quality question. I think who is the goodest boi highly depends on whether being half elemental does a better job making foxes or otters not smell like garbage.

Dredge4life, I definitely see your point, but I feel like any neighbors might view Cozy Kozi as a threat (a menace, even!). Is there anything to be done about that?
And triproberts12, I feel like being made of fire would mean that Zirda doesn't smell like much other than campfire (one of my favorite smells!), but Lutri is up for debate. Not only that, but washing may provide an issue if Lutri decides to get... playful...

The goodest of bois is Mowu, Loyal Companion and no other.

A bold claim, israelazo. I admire your forthrightness, whether or not I agree.

ZendikariWol We could either give them some of the crystals to pay them off, or have Kozilek devour them. Either works for me.

Pretty sure those crystals are just bismuth (really, look it up). And devouring someone may lead to some legal disputes. That said, Cozy Kozi does have a way of changing minds...

I personally think Zirda would be an amazing companion (real life). Like during winter you could cuddle with him and be warm.
