worst and least awful planes to live in

least screwed up planes IMO is ravinica: before it was essentially a bunch of mob gangs trying to murder each other but since RTR things have calmed down bit. but since gang violence beats giant death monsters walking around or a plague of metal rolling up your entire plane
while on the other end of the spectrum there's TONNES of examples of terrible places for existing but my pick for worst is innistrad. cause since i'm a human and being human in innistrad is quite possibly the worst thing you can be
cause werewolf's want to eat you, vampire's want to bleed you dry, demons and devil's want to torturer you, zombies want to kill you for there necromancer creators experiments (or just cause there zombies), spirits don't give two shits about anything and are just a nuisance, and all the angels are too busy dealing with demons to help with the problems of most human settlements. soooo yea being a human in innistrad sucks

hey mathimus55 atleast when your converted to metal the preator's will leave you alone and its at least moderately peaceful. innistrad your losing love'ed ones left and right from EVERYTHING

Idk what I'd consider the best to be but the least desirable plane for me would have to be Phyrexia. Just.. no.
May 20, 2014 4:26 p.m.
When they were separate, the best would be Bant and the worst Grixis.
May 20, 2014 4:28 p.m.
Well I'm a vampire so I find Innistrad quite nice actually

Theros doesn't seem so bad as long as you're devoted to the gods.
The WORST plane to live on is probably Mirrodin, especially after the Phyrexians moved in.

I dunno, Zendikar seems pretty bad since the Eldrazi are eating up...
May 20, 2014 4:33 p.m.
Innistrad seems pretty legit now with Avacyn fixing everything.

Agreed. The eldrazzi at least have been contained for a time. I imagine I'd like to be as far away from any Phyrexian Obliterator as possible. But that's just me

Ha, I have a friend who'd like to get to as close to as many Phyrexian Obliterator s as possible...

Ha well played. I do enjoy my cardboard copies quite a bit. I think one if my most satisfying moments in magic was t1 dark ritual + dark ritual + obliterator = concession.

I want to live in Lorwyn, because the worst thing that I have to fear there is a little pixie dude trying to stab me with a toothpick.

Kamigawa and Innistrad seems like good planes to liven post third block. Everything returned to order and things appear to be hunky-dory, untill we revisit them. Also New Phyrexia is not a bad place, you are born into the world as a newt, with a designated position and a purpose in life. Living under a unified will and possibly having your skin flayed is a small price to pay, right. Right?

what was the major villain or primary evil in kamigawa block anyway?

Bant would probably be the best place to go. Worst would be Innistrad or Mirrod.....New Phyrexia.

How is New Phyrexia bad? There is no war or conflict now that the Mirrans have been defeated and Elesh Norn became the dominant preator.
May 20, 2014 6:36 p.m.
Kamigawa would be pretty chill. Worst place? Probably something like Zendikar. Place sucks to begin with (no civilization, treacherous ground, lack of AC) and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn floating around would be pretty terrible.

Worst plane to live on would be Zendikar, Innistrad, Grixis or Shadowmoor.Best plane to live on would be Phyrexia, New Phyrexia, Bant, Lorwyn or Ravnica (after Jace became the guild pact)
May 20, 2014 7:44 p.m.
Messed up worlds from best to worst and why. 10 is best and 1 is worst.
Lowryn/Shadowmoor: Three hundred years of perpetual peace and light in exchange for three hundred of mildly hard autumns and darkness? I'd take that deal every day.
Kamigawa: Now that the Kami War is done, Kamigawa is pretty peaceful. There may be a lingering sense of distrust, but that will eventually subside.
Ravnica: Now that Jace is the Guildpact-Made-Flesh the realm is relatively peaceful, but the Golgari, Dimir, Rakdos, Ral Zarek, and Vraska are still rumbling in the dark. Only time will tell what happens in the world of guilds.
Dominaria:The Brother's War has come and gone, and Yawgmoth has been dead for some time. The plane is still ravaged by war, but still would not be too bad to live in.
Innistrad: Man this world was a hellhole from the most terrifying nightmares. But now that Grislebrand is no more and Avacyn and her angels patrol the skies, Innistrad would be a decent place to live.
Theros: A world where monsters form the most terrifying myths run wild and no major form of protection against them? A world where the gods and mortals constantly fight? Doesn't seem like an ideal place to call home.
Alara: Since the mending, the five Shards are constantly in conflict with one another on every level. I don't know about you guys, but i don't want to fight my neighbors.
Phyrexia: A world where every single thing wants to kill you in a very painful fashion and could easily do it within a few seconds? No organic life, only soulless machines? I would rather not live here.
New Phyrexia/Mirrodin: Wow. This place has had it really bad. To not only have a world ravaged by war but to then have the Phyrexians wipe out everything in the plane? And I thought Detroit was bad.
Zendikar: This place wins the all time Bad Luck Brian award. Not only does the world shift under you, possibly displacing you at any moment, but then the bad part emerges. The world has become the prison of the gargantuan monstrocities that eat planes, the Eldrazi. While the fact that their imprisonment makes all of the other planes safe from consumption, Zendikar has become a living hell at the mercy of the Eldrazi and their spawn.

Watashi wa otakudesu, jinga ni watashi o toru, imade wa shinaide kudasai.
Yes, I'm that guy. For anyone who falls into the previously mentioned category, you know there are better worlds to live in than the planes of magic (Fairy Tail) . I'm sorry, but that's the truth.
May 20, 2014 9:26 p.m.
Equilor doesn't look like much fun, if you've ever seen the plane card Bloodhill Bastion.
May 20, 2014 11:31 p.m.
Maybe New Phyrexia as a Mirran won't be so bad if you live with Urabrask the Hidden , yeah?
If you could stand the heat of living in a furnace...

I would actually like zendikar, because then, I could get an Eldrazi Conscription and just go around being awesome.
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Shandalar.

Uhhhhh.... I don't think there is any wifi with in the planes we know of. Maybe there will be a scifi plane, that may have Internet.

I feel like Ravnica, like the real world, quality of life can vary greatly depending on where you are born.
July 31, 2014 11:46 a.m.
Kamigawa and Lorwyn seem pretty nice. Theros doesn't seem THAT bad, given that Meletis, Akros, and Setassa are doing relatively well. I'd prefer that to Dominaria which has pretty much nothing left. If I'm stuck on New Phyrexia I'd like to be in Urabrask's domain at least.
