Modern Deck Help forum

This is the Modern-specific advertise-your-deck thread!

Modern format rules

Here are the rules:

  1. You may link one of your decks in each of your posts. Do not list more than one deck per post.
  2. When you post, you must offer feedback on the deck posted immediately before yours (leave the feedback on that deck's page). This feedback needs to be genuine; "Cool deck" replies don't count. Try to be as helpful as possible.
  3. You may not post another deck in this thread again until a week after your previous deck post (by the day, not the exact minute). This is to make sure that other participants have a fair chance of getting some attention.
  4. Do not post unrelated comments in this thread. Leave the deck discussion on the deck pages. Additionally, don't comment just to subscribe to this thread. Use the subscribe button at the bottom of the page.
  5. This thread is stickied and does not expire.

When you share one of your decks, you should offer some information about what you want it to do, what specifically you think you need help with, etc. The more information you give people about your deck, the better the help you're likely to receive.

You're also encouraged to use the deck-large format to make your decks more visible:

[[deck-large:Dominus-Dreamcrusher Edition]]

While you're here, check out these recommendations for other ways to get views on your deck.

If you're feeling up to it, you can also try to write a primer for your deck.

Good afternoon all!

I've been putting together mono-green versions of many of my favorite decks lately and one challenge that I'm really enjoying is that of a mono-green Infect strategy. Its not something I've seen much of, so I would appreciate any and all thoughts on my continuing effort. Thus far its winning by turn 4 about 80-90% of the time which is great, but any ideas on making it more efficient are always welcome.

Looking to build Abzan without Tarmogoyf or Liliana of the Veil. My stategy has been to disrupt the board while gaining life to stay alive and eventually overpowering the opponent. Torn between mid-range and aggro. Mid-range seems better but can I do it without the obvious omissions?

Also I would greatly appreciate sideboard suggestions. I haven't started on that yet.

In practice this is more of a "upvote the previous deck" thread, and not a "give advice about the previous deck" thread.
Which is the reason for some people spamming the same deck on every new page, and the like :/

Heya! looking for feedback! trying to keep the deck under 100$ as well

Adameus2012- I find it a tad silly that you have a single high drop, low probability of drawing. You're running black/blue so maybe tutor? But thats just me

New player looking for feedback!

I'm trying to make an at least semi-competitive Vorthos deck themed around a sinister religious order. It's W/B and very token heavy. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from one awesome person but I think a diversity of opinions would benefit me, especially as a new player. I hope you'll take a look! Thanks!

Hello. I just completed another deck. This one is more Control oriented and the land count is 23. The main inspiration for this concept comes from seeing potential in the new Vraska, Relic Seeker.

I have 2x Thought Scours main board and have been wondering if 2x and or more Ancestral Vision would be better?

The deck is here:

Hey everybody! New player here. I've whittled down a pretty aggressive RG werewolf deck that relies on village messengers, Neglected Heirlooms and giving Kessig Prowler menace and double strike by turn 4 or 5. This essentially means it does 8 every turn, unblockable. If you give it hexproof, it becomes a locked in timer. Thoughts?

Do you enjoy the idea of being able to deal over 40 damage by turn 4 to your opponents? Then I have a surprise for you. I have been brewing this for a while in paper, and now Im sharing it here. Its a Deaths Shadow Jund burn deck! Check it out and let me know what you think. It isnt quite finished and refined yet, I have only been able to play it a few times.

IcbrgrMy main concern that i want to share with you, is whether or not you think you have enough card draw for sphinx's tutelage. I ran a mono blue mill with Fraying Sanity and Sphinx's Tutelage, but I never really had enough card draw. I asked around, and got some ideas for cad draw such as Pull from Tomorrow. Good Luck!

Anyway, to everyone else...

I'm building my first modern deck, and I need help. I'm not 100% sure how to link the actual decklist to this forum, so I'll leave a link below. My main concern with my deck is that I'm too slow for Mono erd burn, but too unreliable for Mirror Tron matches. I don't have a whole lot of money, so I can't afford a lot of the cards for Tron, so I built my own version of it.Thanks!

dmpsy I'd recommend Gatekeeper of Malakir and Korlash, Heir to Blackblade for better disruption and a sweet top end.

Here's my U/B Emergevoke deck. I want to know how I can improve it, both by changing numbers of cards and the cards themselves. Also looking for thoughts on the disruption package, and suggestions about Opt vs. Serum Visions vs. Sleight of Hand. Thanks!

My first deck I made, I've had one big revamp and I just made a small edit recently. The deck is going be about $250, but $300 for me because I like the foils. The main focus of the deck is to keep zombies on the field, either by pulling them back by their own abilities or others. If they can stay on the field until any one of the three chieftains (Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Undead Warchief) can hit the field, victory should come swiftly.

Thinking of playing this in a league I'm in, I'm 3-2 in Season 1 so probably just barely missing the top 8 (I need really good breakers which I probably won't have) and I think top 8ing is my goal for next season.

This deck is my personal creation, and I love it SO much. It all started by me trying to abuse Hornet Nest. Try piloting this deck yourself if you get the chance, the win condition is super unique (I have found, haven't seen anything like it yet.) I'm hoping for some recommendations for other damage based spells, or juicy creature targets. It works damn well the way it is but I would love to see how I could improve it. Thanks!
