This is the Modern-specific advertise-your-deck thread!

Modern format rules

Here are the rules:

  1. You may link one of your decks in each of your posts. Do not list more than one deck per post.
  2. When you post, you must offer feedback on the deck posted immediately before yours (leave the feedback on that deck's page). This feedback needs to be genuine; "Cool deck" replies don't count. Try to be as helpful as possible.
  3. You may not post another deck in this thread again until a week after your previous deck post (by the day, not the exact minute). This is to make sure that other participants have a fair chance of getting some attention.
  4. Do not post unrelated comments in this thread. Leave the deck discussion on the deck pages. Additionally, don't comment just to subscribe to this thread. Use the subscribe button at the bottom of the page.
  5. This thread is stickied and does not expire.

When you share one of your decks, you should offer some information about what you want it to do, what specifically you think you need help with, etc. The more information you give people about your deck, the better the help you're likely to receive.

You're also encouraged to use the deck-large format to make your decks more visible:

[[deck-large:Dominus-Dreamcrusher Edition]]

While you're here, check out these recommendations for other ways to get views on your deck.

If you're feeling up to it, you can also try to write a primer for your deck.

Hey guys! Please check out my attempt at a competitive Zombie Tribal/Devotion deck. The main goal of this deck is to pump out a lot of creatures and overwhelm the enemy, with a small undying gimmick in the mix as well. Also, check out the description, as it goes more into detail on what im currently working with/ looking for. Thanks!

Zaueski may you want to play Path to Exile in your sideboard instead of Crib Swap because its ways cheaper. Also you could think of cutting Eldrazi Conscription and Celestial Mantle because their too expensive at mana cost. You dont have any mana accelleration and i think you want to beat the opponent on turn 6 or something or even faster if it works good. Maybe you could go for some more counters instead to protect your stuff i dont know.

The strategy is to put as many goblins into play as possible and get as much value from it as possible. And of course do some crazy stuff.

July 5, 2016 9:44 a.m.

Zaueski says... #11

Rhyno52, I can play those big enchantments as early as Turn 5. Tallowisp tutors them and Arcanum Wings lets me play them for 3 mana. I have been considering dropping the Arcane half though for some just better spells in general.

July 5, 2016 9:56 a.m.

Rhyno52 says... #12

Zaueski Ah did not see the ability from Arcanum Wings. But its still very slow if you dont have Arcanum Wings in your hand. I think sticking with the tutor and arcane spells makes sense unless you want to shift your deck into another direction as it is now. If its fast enough its okay.

July 5, 2016 10:06 a.m.

Zaueski says... #13

My thoughts were build up a protected Spirit field, play at instant speed thanks to Rattlechains, and tutor my win cons up with Tallowisp. Amything to help that strategy is what I'm looking for.

July 5, 2016 10:10 a.m.

Indexxical says... #14

Do you guys think it wise to get rid of 2x Howlpack Resurgence and put in x2 Garruk Relentless  Flip? I'd no longer have any enchantments, but I would be gaining a wolf-oriented plainswalker with an extra effect (Deathtouch) to add to the school of effects my wolves already have.

Are there any important lands I'm missing besides Kessig Wolf Run and the super expensive Cavern of Souls?

I want to post a deck but I'm not sure which deck to comment on now. 0.0

The link to the goblin deck seems a bit broken. I guess I'll give some attention to spiritual guidance, and if the goblin deck link is fixed I'll look at that too.

This is a midrangey heroic deck based on combat trick combos. I've been working to make its patterns more consistent so it doesn't randomly stutter out when I draw badly, but it still has trouble with long matchups:

Trying to get a competitive deck together for Modern. I hate using the same decks as everyone else, so I mashed up a Standard GW Token list with a little brewing to get this neat little GW Token Beatdown deck.

Tested it a few times tonight against Affinity and Merfolk decks. It kept up alright. Just need some suggestions on how to make it a bit tighter and maybe on sideboard cards (I suck at sideboarding).

I've been working on a Mardu midrange/control list with a Nahiri, the Harbinger finish recently. I'm one or two fetchlands shy of what I'd ideally like to run and still tweaking the sideboard. Mardu colors also give you access to many of the best sideboard hate cards but because I don't have a clearly defined local Modern meta, the sideboard goes wide to try and handle the most common tier 1-2 strategies rather than being adapted to the specific decks I might face.

Mardu Harbinger

Tokens and creatures that are out of bolt range gum up the board while removal stalls out aggro decks until you either start your own creature beatdown or land a Nahiri and work toward her ultimate. 4/3 Inquisition/Thoughtseize split in main to preemptively remove threats and ruin combo decks' day. Lastly, Bedlam Reveler acts as an Ancestral Recall once you've dumped the removal in your hand, so you can stay ahead of the topdeck race late in the game. Its body isn't bad, but really it's there for the draw 3. Prowess is just icing rather than something to plan around.

@ Triton I left some feedback on your deck page... I hope it's useful.

Hey all! I've been itching to figure out a home for the new color shifted Donate also known as Harmless Offering. I have no illusions that I'm breaking the meta with this deck or creating a new T1 deck, but my hope is to be able to work this into something that has a fighting chance in most match-ups and isn't an embarrassment to take to local competitive events. Generally the idea is to make an old Trix style deck in Modern. My biggest struggle, I think, is surviving long enough to Harmless Offering my Demonic Pact. I'm looking for feedback on how to improve the build that's not just "This will never work." Anyway, here's the deck:

So I love playing hard control and tempo control, which is where I got the idea for this deck. I currently run grixis delver, but I want to move more into my true love, Azorius control. I cam up with this idea to get around the fact that U/W control in modern for the most part lacks a decent, consistent and on curve finisher, especially one that can protect itself. Reality Smasher stood out to me from OtG, as it did to so many others during Eldrazi Winter. So I decided to throw a list together using U/W splashing colorless for Reality Smasher, and would really like some feedback on it before I start shelling out all of my money on the cards.

I need some help debating card choices in sideboard & mana base, namely:

Black Sun's Zenith v Death Cloud?

Damping Matrix v Ratchet Bomb?

Everlasting Torment v Tainted Remedy?

Ghost Quarter v Scrying Sheets? How many and is it too colorless? Do I need to sub some number of Go for the Throat v Victim of Night? Dismember? Just side Rain of Tears for tron or is that too slow?

Trepanation Blade v Ring of Xathrid?

Where can I fit Dash Hopes? Should I even try?

Keep in mind I am running Dimir Machinations for tutor/top deck control, so for sideboard choices I want to lean towards 3cc singletons if possible for greater flexibility.

My thoughts so far on these are in the update entry if you care to read.

I know a lot of these questions are meta dependent, but I just want to hear other people's experiences/thoughts regarding match ups.

Thank you in advance!
