Modern Deck Help forum

This is the Modern-specific advertise-your-deck thread!

Modern format rules

Here are the rules:

  1. You may link one of your decks in each of your posts. Do not list more than one deck per post.
  2. When you post, you must offer feedback on the deck posted immediately before yours (leave the feedback on that deck's page). This feedback needs to be genuine; "Cool deck" replies don't count. Try to be as helpful as possible.
  3. You may not post another deck in this thread again until a week after your previous deck post (by the day, not the exact minute). This is to make sure that other participants have a fair chance of getting some attention.
  4. Do not post unrelated comments in this thread. Leave the deck discussion on the deck pages. Additionally, don't comment just to subscribe to this thread. Use the subscribe button at the bottom of the page.
  5. This thread is stickied and does not expire.

When you share one of your decks, you should offer some information about what you want it to do, what specifically you think you need help with, etc. The more information you give people about your deck, the better the help you're likely to receive.

You're also encouraged to use the deck-large format to make your decks more visible:

[[deck-large:Dominus-Dreamcrusher Edition]]

While you're here, check out these recommendations for other ways to get views on your deck.

If you're feeling up to it, you can also try to write a primer for your deck.

Just built the deck, and haven't playtested it, so am wondering about whether my percentages of bounce/counterspells are decent, and if my counterspells are well-suited for the current metagame.

I recently decided to switch from Grixis Delver to Esper Control, keeping some tempo elements (Delver of Secrets  Flip) and mixing them with more hard control style cards i.e. Supreme Verdict.

I like the way the deck functions, but drawing delver later in the game is quite bad.

I'm looking for changes, but nothing drastic due to financial reasons, and would like some feedback.

TYR 1,TURN 1,KIL LAND,REVAMP,MODERN,8+1's,750 VIEW

This is My Red,Green,Splash Black, Land Destruction Deck. Either it already is,or is close to being a tier 1.5 deck.

Goal of deck is to Level play field, compete with Modern $1350 EXPENSIVE tournament decks, send their EXPENSIVE lands, etc to Graveyard, Turn 1,2,3.

What I need Help with:

There is a 3 of Wild Swing. Is there a 2,3,4, preferably 3 cmc, instant, sorcery card, that destroys a land, creature, permanent, that does not give a foe a 3/3 Like Beast Within, an or does not require that I sacrifice a permanent, like with Crack the Earth, or is not random like Wild Swing, an or that does not have a bad negative effect on me, that only destroys either a land, creature, permanent of an opponent? I have 4 of Wrecking Ballin the deck. So besides wrecking ball.

Also always looking for sideboard, maybe, metaboard suggestions.

Thanks for any help about the 3 Wild Swings slots thing

If you like the deck, or even if do not like the deck, but think it's a ok, nice build, then please like, + 1, the deck, and comment on the deck, if want to.

Thanks

PS HOW do you post a deck link in a post here in this thread?

I tried the double bracket, Deck-Large thing and it didn't work, and got a error message.

I'm thinking of making a deck based on exiling my Early game cards (1/1s 2/2s etc), then cycling my graveyard back into my deck, leaving me with only bombs. Can you suggest some cards for me?

This deck has do to with two specific card combinations: - 1. Where a card like Detention Sphere comes into play and then is returned to your hand before its ability resolves, permanently exiling the chosen card.

My Modern Deck: 4-Color Zoo!

My modern deck; 4 Color Zoo, aims to try and win fast but also have a strong late game plan in the form of a lot of threats and removal.

August 14, 2016 9:24 p.m.

ArchFline very nice deck! I have always been a long time dimir fan and as such i have to say you have a rather nasty deck there... However i suggest 2 small changes id add 2 more land and take out the Extirpatesto me realisticly youre never going to draw them and they dont help the goal of your deck at all...however if you want a deck built around such affects i suggest taking a peek at The descent into insanity...But to get to the question of wether your should use Waste Not or Liliana's Curse id say use both. Either add 2 land as i previously suggested or use 3 of each Waste Not and Liliana's Curse that way youll have more adaptability.

Now the deck im trying out is a monowhite enchantment only control deck. which is The Starfield of Nyx i just need some help fine tuning it. Please read the description as it has all my questions :)

@Sjorpha: I like where the deck is going. A couple of changes that I would make are dropping Thermopod and Skirsdag High Priest. Neither fit the theme and are too slow. Also, I would remove Vengeful Pharaoh. I know he has a lot for devotion but in a three color deck, BBB will be a little steep to pay.

As replacements, I would increase some of your most necessary cards that aren't 4-ofs yet.

Here's my current project:

A rogue deck list, which I have never heard of anyone playing. You start out with your starter creatures, and when you have enough land, you exile them and shuffle your deck back into your library. Keep exiling creatures until you have only what you need in your library/graveyard,then shuffle your deck creatures back into your library, rinse, wash, repeat.

This mono green list is my variation of another good deck that has not seen an update in a long time so I tried to put my own spin on it. This deck wants to be aggressive and let you pump and charge with your trampling creatures, it also uses the fight mechanic to get rid of the big blockers. I've streamlined it extensively since the first version and also play a much higher stakes build (Bob+Emmy forever).

The deck is still heavy on removal (13 main) and discard (6 main) to put linear aggro decks in their place and disrupt combo. But now it also has a full 8 planeswalkers to complement this, any of which can win the game outright if they ultimate.

This is one of the modern decks i play the most often and is one of my decks that are most fun (to me, not the opponent).

It's a bant flash/control variant which seeks to disrupt the opponents colors and castable hand cards, to build up to a control-combo that includes Cloudstone Curio + Mystic Snake + Restoration Angel to continuously counter spells we dont want to resolve while swinging in and protecting our board.

There are no direct removal spells main board and it can be very tricky to pilot, but i think it's on the right road to get awesome. If you some could chip in a few bits of experience (be it what you would do to disrupt it, card suggestions for the deck, sideboard options...) , that would be most appreciated!
