Athreos in modern?

I got my hands on a couple of Athreos any idea where i should play them in modern? What combos should i use in general what is the best way to play him.
I mean, I played with Athreos for a while in a modern deck, but like GlistenerAgent said, it's not really playable. It's just too slow and people just choose the option you don't want most of the time.
I mean, if you do happen to make a successful deck based around him, I'd love to see it sometime.

I like Athreos, God of Passage, and I kind of want it to see play, but it hasn't made the cut in any Modern deck that I've heard of in the meta. You could try to fashion a deck of your own that makes use of it, but I'm not sure how much mileage it will give you.
You really want to be putting pressure on your opponent with efficient creatures so that the 3 life seems like a steep price to pay in addition to having enough devotion to switch it on, but 
non-token creatures don't really give you a deep aggro lineup to choose from, and in that sort of deck you'd only get 2-3 triggers before the game is decided.
If you really wanted to make this work, I guess you could try it in something like Hatebears/Death & Taxes, or make it the centerpiece of a sacrifice-centric aggro deck.

Not really playable. At best he can fit in a Soul Sisters shell, but he's not close to as good as Proclamation of Rebirth.
