Eggs without Faith's Reward

Modern Deck Help forum

I was thinking about the similarities between No Rest for the Wicked and Faith's Reward. There could somewhat of an eggs combo with No Rest for the Wicked and cards like Auramancer. I know that Faith's Reward is more competitive and easier to pull off but humor me. Any thoughts on this combo?

That...actually seems pretty cool. I would be interested to see how you pull it off though.

I'm thinking I will need a sacrifice engine and some creatures that deal damage or get mana when they enter the battlefield.

This might become a legacy/casual deck with Phyrexian Altar

Goblin Bombardment? 0 cost creatures, keep looping it.

If you go play out my dudes, sac them to bombardment, play and sac the enchantment, repeat, faiths reward, keep going etc. You need mana though somehow. Maybe Rain of Filth

Wait, what? How does No Rest for the Wicked work in eggs?

KillDatBUG he was saying that there might be some type of eggs-esque combo. Not that you would be able to slot it into eggs.

Phyrexian Altar + Auramancer + Goblin Bombardment + 5 Ornithopter/Memnite/other 0 drops would work.

If you were doing artifact creatures only Disciple of the Vault could replace the Goblin Bombardment.

In that case it would be Phyrexian Altar + Auramancer + Disciple of the Vault + 4 0 drops.

That sound right?

Ember-Fist Zubera seems fun. Now I need a way to get some mana.

Composite Golem, Verdant Eidolon, Infernal Plunge, Myr Moonvessel, Generator Servant, Krark-Clan Ironworks for artifact creatures, Satyr Hedonist, Thermopod, and Wild Cantor are all modern-legal cards that either sac creatures for mana, sc themselves for mana, or give you mana when they die.

Also this is probably going to be 3+ colors, seeing as No Rest for the Wicked and Faith's Reward are two colors already, and we aren't finding a cohesive strategy without adding more colors.

I can actually pull it off with No Rest for the Wicked+2Wild Cantor+Auramancer+Blasting Station. I don't even need Faith's Reward. True, this is a large three color combo but it would be so unexpected if I pull it off. Now I need some budget tutors.

Fauna Shaman, Signal the Clans, Hibernation's End, Congregation at Dawn, Protean Hulk, Chord of Calling, and Collected Company get you any of the creatures, Idyllic Tutor grabs No Rest for the Wicked and lots of things that will be sided in, if thing change a lot Ranger of Eos could be used, Dizzy Spell, Dimir Infiltrator, Perplex, Drift of Phantasms, Muddle the Mixture, Dimir Machinations, and Shred Memory tutor for specific CMCs, Diabolic Tutor, Beseech the Queen and Wargate, find basically anything. This is one of the problems with combo in modern: the tutors available aren't good at all.

Technicaly such a combo exists in the form of Blasting Station+Memnite+Enduring Renewal It's not eggs but it's an infinite loop that plays quite the same
