Hey guys, im working on a colorless artifact stompy deck modelled after a few decks from different formats. I know at first glance it may seem janky but it actually runs really really well! I and several friends are working on this but thought to get the tappedout community to throw some ideas. Give it a try and please comment and upvote!

Currently playing around with the colorless lands the most.

Need help producing fast mana, adjusting threat numbers and even sideboard.

Any comments, suggestions, concerns thoughts, ANYTHING is appreciated. Even hate! Tho perferably upvotes. Thanks again!!

Have you considered GAetherGrid? Fast mana in the form of rituals is popular in Mono Red Prison. I like your deck.

But rituals are taxed by your stuff... so maybe not?

artifact stompy would basically be hardened modular. might wanna look into that if just beating down with artifact creatures is your goal.

PlatinumOne yeah i did model the creature base a little off hardened modular. But the difference is they play like a combo deck while mine plays a slower, stop the opponent game

hardened modular definitely isn't "combo". they just stack counters and attack.

and how are you "stopping an opponent" with no interaction or removal?

The same way death and taxes does. By making things cost more and stopping enablers.

The ideal start is fast mana for a turn 1 Chalice of the Void on where x is 1. This puts cards like Serum Visions Thoughtseize and other 1 drops that keep decks together at bay.

The other great turn 1 or 2 play is Thorn of Amethyst which is not always god tier but most decks other than humans and elves do use spells.

Stacking these up alongside turn 3 Lodestone Golem s makes things cost so much, making 1 drops either uncastable or just cost 3-4. It doeesnt necissarily stop the opponent. But it does hinder them from playing their decks properly while you kill them

your deck doesn't have enough fast mana to enable those early plays, and they'll be a minor annoyance for your opponent at worst. nothing that really stops them. in your build, Mox Opal likely won't be online until after you've already played a few creatures. death and taxes goes all in on that strategy, but your deck merely splashes it. you'd be better off ditching that plan for removal. removal is useful pretty much anytime you draw it, whereas your current stuff is only useful if you draw it super early, and even then only against a few decks.

If youd take a look at successful prison decks in modern they tend to drop chalice on turn 2 just fine. Death and taxes primary tax card thalia js dropped on turn 2, Thorn of Amethyst is almost the same card, but i have 8 more cards to hinder the opponent. Tax wise i hit much harder than dnt and red prison decks. Im just trying to tune this to make it better than it already is.

Every tier 1 deck started as someones janky build :)

but your deck isn't a typical prison deck, and wont drop chalice on turn 2 the same way they do. "more than 8 cards to hinder the opponent" isn't a lot, especially with how little they do.

Its not typical , thats why its unique. Modern dredge wasnt a typical dredge deck either and look at it now. Stax pieces arr generally known to only be effective in multiples. And i play a fair amount considering im also running Walking Ballista to shoot down accelerants and enablers. Give the deck a few plays maybe ud like it :)
