Need help in breaking Young Pyro in Grixis

Modern Deck Help forum

Hey Guys!

So, I'm building a modern budget deck:

and even though Grixis delver is powerful, I want to make it into a Grixis Pyro deck. Everybody has a way to deal with delver, but going wide might attack better from a different axis. Also, delver is fairly boring AND expensive. But, that archetype isn't really here yet. So I need suggestions on 2 things:

1. How to get tokens out fast.

I want the deck to be barfing tokens all over the place. My thinkings are cantrips, phyrexian mana cards (like Noxious Revival), retrace (like Raven's Crime), and cheap value spells.

2. Protecting the tokens from Pyroclasms.

I don't know any ways other than counterspells to protect the tokens, so I would LOVE suggestions. Spell Pierce? Ways to buff them all? Your call.

Cards I'd like to remove to add space: Monastery Swiftspear

Cards I'd live with removing: Sleight of Hand, Dismember (into side only for this card), Gurmag Angler.

Most likely 2 cards are going to be removed for lands (Temples, basics, other cheap lands and such)

Yeah, I'd love help, anything is appreciated. Only restriction: it's pretty damn budget. Don't suggestion Snapcaster Mages, fetches, and even Serum Visions.

Thanks and happy tapping!

Please I need help!

Going wide (making lots of small creature) is not very strong right now. With CoCo decks on the rise, they they produce about as many creatures as you do, and they are bigger. There is no permanent buffs in red worth using, that's more white/green, neither color is part of grixis.

Simply put, your trying to build something that frankly just won't happen. Pyromancer is best in tempo, just use him like that.
