I want to add more of a control base, this deck has amazing synergy. It also has a touch of mill and heroic. I don know what to take out but I have all the cards I want, I just need the right amount. Advice is much appreciated. Here's the link ciphering heroics

You do know cipher doesnt trigger heroic?

smackjack, pretty sure if you target your own heroic creatures with an encoded spell, cipher DOES trigger heroic; The cipher ability itself doesn't target, but the copied spell does.

Since you are casting the encoded spell, it does in fact trigger heroic. Will post some comments in the deck.

Yes if the card itself targets. But cipher ability does not target, as the word "target" is not in its reminder text. Midnight Recovery for example does nothing with heroic..

Each time I deal damage the ciphered card casts a copy of itself, which can taret what I want, but I know what you are talking about. The actual cipher keyword doesn't target creatures but I only need it when I deal damage

Yes, Hidden Strings will get you 2 heroic triggers, but Midnight Recovery wont trigger any heroic. I just thought you were under the impression heroic will target when you encode the card :)

Nice deck tho, i like Hidden Strings and heroic :). Do you have a possible infinite combo with Sage of Hours?

heading textMidnight Recovery doesn't trigger heroic but can get back a transmuted Dimir Infiltrator and for nivmagus to eat up

I think the only way to do an infinite combo is to have enough cipher triggers in one turn to put 5 counters on the sage and repeat until they are dead.

Thanks smackjack for pointing that out
