Need Help With White Splash (Infect)
Modern Deck Help forum

Hey guys!
I have decided to run white in my infect deck and I have decided to run 21 lands with Dryad Arbor by adding Temple Garden. What I need help in is what card should I take out for temple garden and that now I have some access in white I want to know what white cards I can add to the sideboard and what to take out. I was obviously thinking of Rest in Peace
@APPLE01DOJ: Dryad Arbor is standard in Infect as sacrifice fodder for cards like Liliana of the Veil, which can otherwise be game-ending. Similar to Bogles in that regard.
As far as building a manabase that can support white in Infect goes, I think the best way to go about it is to just run tons and tons of fetchlands. A manabase of 10 fetches/1 Arbor/2 Pool/2 Forest/1 Pendelhaven/4 Inkmoth/1 Temple Garden should be adequate if you're only splashing white for sideboard cards.

APPLE01DOJ Dryad Arbor is good because you can crack a fetch in response to Liliana of the Veil's -2. This way you sacrifice a useless creature instead of one of your Infecters. I personally don't like it, because if you want to use it for mana it basically enters tapped.
Zelpoke For the post part, it all looks good. I would cut the Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip because he is slow and doesn't offer much with only one Become Immense. I would replace it with another Become Immense, Spell Pierce, or a Dismember. 19-20 lands is plenty, but 21 is too much. If you want, here's my personal list. I've opted for a Sultai variant however I am currently testing Blue/Green again.

BodhiQL If 21 lands is too much then I need a land too take out and not a spell, so what land do you think I should take out

Oh, I just realized the decklist is pre-white splash. I just commented that because you said you decided on 21 lands. I would probably replace Misty Rainforest or one of the other fetches, as 8 fetches should be enough.

BodhiQL Thank you so much! This solves one of my problems. Do you think I should run any white cards in the side though or is Geist of Saint Traft good enough?

Geist of Saint Traft is probably fine. I haven't tried out White in Infect like people are playing with these days, so I'm speaking with inexperience, however Geist is usually the only thing most decks have.

HHHmmm I know Bogles used Dryad Arbor as Lilly fodder but I figure the bad outweighed the good when it comes to Infect. Having a land you can't tap immediately is a big deal. One that also dies to Fatal Push and sorcery speed removal doesn't seem like what the deck wants. Spellskite seems like a better option to me. I'm not a major Infect player though.

you dont need rip for your deck.. if you really wanted to remove something in an opposing gy.. Surgical Extraction is your card, you really want to finish the game fast with this type of deck.. and rip wont help you with that.. splashing white makes this deck slower..

What is Giest used against with infect? I know it's good against midrange in general but what matches does Infect use it for specifically?
August 7, 2018 10:46 a.m.
APPLE01DOJ Decks with heavy removal or decks that go to low life.

Linking the deck would help.
What matches do you have trouble with?
I can't imagine Dryad Arbor being any good in Infect. What do you plan to use it for?
