What are you asking us? If you care about enchantments? Then that's up to you.

tyforthevenom says... #8

Basically I'm asking if there are any enchantments used in modern that would make wear/tear better than any other artefact hate

Counter question: Out of all of the modern decks that you intend to play against, do any of them have enchantments that you don't want to see?

Also, you're in . Of course you play Wear / Tear over something like Smash to Smithereens.

I was thinking like Shattering Spree, and I intend to take to a pptq(as an example don't actually have this intention but giving the idea that I won't expect any specific matchups)

Shattering Spree is more of a legacy card because it gets around Chalice of the Void. That isn't an issue for you as the only artifacts that you will see at a PTQ are Affinity and Batterskull, maybe the rogue sword. So Vandalblast as a one of then the rest of those slots as wear/tear seem ideal, as you stand to see just as many enchantments as you will artifacts that need 1for1-ing.

Boggles, 8Rack, Curse of Death's Hold Illness in the Ranks Myth Realized white removal beyond Path (Journey to Nowhere, Oblivion Ring, Detention Sphere) Leyline of Sanctity Bitterblossom Phyrexian Arena

Btw I like your use of Norin. Brimaz, Pyromancer, & the entire Prowess cast could be good too.

How so, I rarely cast more than 1 non creature spell a turn unless I'm going for their last few points of health

If you're going to a PPTQ, I imagine you will see at least one wayward bogles list. Your life gain might make the bogles irrelevant, but then their lifegain will make your damage irrelevant, and eventually one player will find something to make it not irrelevant. Some sort of coherent sideboard plan for a bogles matchup is good, whether of not it includes destroying their auras.

I swapped a wear tear for fracturing gust which should thoroughly screw over affinity and bogles once cast

APPLE01DOJ says... #19

It sure will except both those decks kill before you can cast it & I'm fairly sure the totem armor survives...

The rancor survives, as far as killing fast, life gain is a b*tch

tyforthevenom I don't see any harm in the guy's meme. I mean... of course you understood what your question was. That's kind of obvious. But 3 people had to ask you to clarify, so I don't think it's surprising that one of them was sarcastically using a meme to communicate his confusion.

Fracturing Gust is a great card but I don't think it has a place in a deck with only 20 land. I'm not a big competitor or anything but I generally don't run anything sideboard over 3 CMC unless I'm playing a Control deck or a Ramp deck.
