Pauper Modern: Need Help
Modern Deck Help forum

I'm in the works of a pauper deck and I'm in the need of some help. I like how it's coming together, but I don't think it has a strong finisher that most decks have.
I'm just not that much of a modern player nor am I a pauper player. However I want to be able to broaden my horizons, so I am trying to make decks that I feel I can have the most fun with in each format. Here's the deck that I came up with:
Something Black, Something Blue Playtest

I would like some constructive criticism on this and be able to improve it the best I can. Thank you. :)

I'm inclined to agree. Pauper isn't the same without all the powerful commons of old sets.

That's exactly why I chose to do this. I love making a challenge for myself because it makes for a more exciting game. If I do happen to win, then it makes it all the more sweeter. In no way I'm saying this is a competitive deck, but I'm saying it has the potential to be if a few things are changed. I'd suggest take a look at the deck before making your opinions.

I did look at the deck first.
To me your mind set sounds no different than playing a 60 card sealed deck at a modern GP in case you do happen to win a game. There's just no reason to do it.

Exactly. What reason is there to create such a limited deck that has no place in the real world? Before I answer this, answer these questions for me.
Is there a reason to create decks on here for no reason at all if people are just going to shoot it down before looking at it from a different point of view? Is there a point to play commander/EDH if there is no money to be earned? Why would someone want to create challenges for themselves when they clearly are delusional?
It's because they can. There is no rhyme nor reason, just a state of mind in which someone sets for themselves and not for others. I do not care for competitive decks, so that's the exact reason why I choose to build this. Anyone can just look online and just copy and paste, but I choose something different because I can. No rhyme. No reason. Just as simple as that.
And please, I am not trying to mean in any sense of the word. I am just trying to get you to see this from my point of view. If you just say this is a stupid format, then that hurts my feelings because you haven't asked why I chose it in the first place. If you look at the world in a different way, you'll begin to see my reason for doing things as I do the same for those who choose other formats I don't like to play. However, I do not judge, but try to understand and reach a compromise.
In the end, this is just a game. I am just trying to play it and have fun. Nothing more.

Modern pauper doesn't really sound like a good format at all. The fun of pauper is playing with powerful cards in a weird format.
