Sideboard Decisions

Modern Deck Help forum

I can not decide between Kataki, War's Wage and Stony Silence for sideboard artifact hate. Both have their advantages over the other and I just have not been able to choose. I would really appreciate opinions and help on which to run.

Noogin,
I've never played Zoo, so that may make a difference, but I've played a ton of Naya Ponza and Mono-W Control, and in both those decks, I'm a much bigger fan of Stony Silence. Stony is harder to remove and shuts off many Artifacts entirely, rather than just slowing opponents down. That said, it seems like Stony on its own is never enough, so I generally run a split of 2x Stony and 1x something else (e.g., Ancient Grudge, Abrade, Nature's Claim, Destructive Revelry, Disenchant, or Fragmentize).

Good luck (and good skill) with whatever you select!

Stony is defenitely better. Ot completely shuts those ddecks down and is harder to remove.

Kataki should only be played if you can tutor for creatures or in decks with collected company

A card I would also recommend looking into, while not shutting down artifact decks entirely, would be Ingot Chewer. Basically for , you get to destroy an artifact and also pump up either an Experiment One or a Pelt Collector to at least a 3/3.
