I want to know if you think this is any good before I spend $400 to buy it. Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated! Burn B***h

I mean, it looks like a relatively typical burn deck, with maybe a few tweaks. I definitely think 3 colors is fine if you can afford the extra shocks/fetches. I don't see any reason that deck couldn't hold its own in a typical FNM environment.

Do you think its worth the $ for the extra splashing or do you think a mono red deck can perform just as good at a lower $ cost?

20 lands might seem like a lot for a burn deck. You could also splash black as well for cards like Bump in the Night and Kolaghan's Command, which might be worth it if you can afford the extra cards.

I mean, in my personal opinion the extra investment can't hurt you. Regardless of how the deck performs, the shocks and fetches you buy aren't going to suddenly become worthless. They're Modern staples, and you'll always be able to trade them. I would buy the deck, and if you don't like it, having those lands just means you can transition into other decks if you decide to down the road. At some point, if you really want to get in to Modern, you'll have to invest in lands. Its really the biggest barrier to entry. Might as well start now.

You can cut the shock lands to two each. Four of each is too many. Then add Bloodstained Mires in their place. Also, I don't think the basic lands, except the Mountains, are necessary.
