4-color Jeskai splash green (Altruism?)

How do I make a Jeskai deck that is nearly every card being included by Jeskai, yet having 4x a green card that I need to splash green for? Perhaps 5x green basic lands? Altruism being called this mixture of colors seems like a great name.

If your going 4 color you might as well go five. But between fetches shocks and times you should be good maybe like 1 or 2 of each basic

I would go 5, but the dubbing of WURG as Altruism is quite fitting. Also, I have no need for black in my deck. Just wondering how to splash green. Especially with a card that uses 2 green. I'll check for more green cards so splashing won't be in vain.

Magus of the Vineyard will help your opponents way too much

I'm not super familiar with the modern meta right now, but if you aren't worried about Blood Moon I would definitely just run some shocks. Swapping out 2 lands of each color for a total of 6 shocks would be a safe and consistent way to make sure you have the G available. If you are worried about Blood Moon I would make it 2 red sources for shocks. 1 of each other color for shocks and 1 of each other color for a basic.

This is just in general. What lands you swap out would also be dependent on what the color balance is.

Ahh thanks a bunch, Gidgetimer! I'm only using 4x green cards with the rest being a balanced jeskai. But the only problem is that I don't like to sacrifice life for an effect. Life is our currency in this game, and I am purposely avoiding black for that very reason. I guess I could swap out Mystic Monastery and a 2x Mountain and some of the other dual lands. Perhaps for some dual lands like Hinterland Harbor and Rootbound Crag?? Maybe 6 of those? Considering I'm running quite a few check lands and some triomes, I think that if I go over 60 cards in my deck, I'll just run extra lands regardless. Can't hurt to lower chances of drawing other cards if I'm running extra land. mAlthough, I have to say, I'm running budget. So shock lands and check lands etc. are ot of my grasp. I'll have to settle for running cards I already own of Chromatic Lantern. Can't hurt to run this, and it works well for my manabase of WUR+G colors whenever it is added.

What green card are you trying a jam into this deck?

Growth Spiral is a few of them, shadow63, now that I've decided to go this route.

Growth Spiral would help catch me back up in lands whenever I use Chromatic Lantern. Weird increase in tempo.

It's a good card but I don't think warping your whole mana base and slowing your whole game plan down. Especially without willing to pay life for the best lands in the format in the form of shocks and fetches. I'd use Opt or Consider

As you increase the number of colours in a deck, your manabase generally gets a lot more expensive to support all those colours. Even at 3-colour, but especially at 4, you need fetches & shocklands to have a deck be even remotely viable.

I’d suggest if your budget doesn’t allow this to stick with 2 colours. Any janky-ideas to try and support a 3-4 colour idea is just going to likely result in a really unwieldily mess

I've decided to not run green with my jeskai. I was going to add Lure in the case of Spellweaver Eternal working against multiple blockers in its afflict ability. But the rules say that can't happen.

Here's my deck so far:
