I'm an L2 judge, but after SCG Somerset this coming weekend, I'm taking a break from judging until August to play in competitive Modern tournaments. I'm very familiar with the format, so I'm happy to answer questions. The main deck I'll be playing this Summer is Modern BUG Tempo, a deck I brewed with some assistance from my other competitive friends. I'm also working on another secret brew, but I want to try it at some FNMs before I go public with it.
My current schedule is: 6/7 PTQ in Philly - 6/8 GPT (for Boston) in Baltimore - 6/15 SCG IQ in Glen Burnie - 7/6 GPT (for Boston) in Roanoke - 7/26-27 GP Boston - 8/9 PTQ in Glen Burnie.
I'm waiting on some local PTQs to be scheduled (the master list has ones in Richmond, Philly, and Delaware, but no date or venue yet).
Who else is going to be playing some Modern this Summer? Will you be at any of these events? Do you have questions about the format? Let's go!
It does fine, but you might want to seek some other successful Burn lists and tweak yours. There are some here (these lists won grinders at the recent Modern GP).

Do you have any advice on how to deal with American Control? I run b/w tokens, here's my deck Swarm and Conquer V 2.0

What do you think about infect in the modern format? Like do you think it would hold it's own at competitive events or would I be better off waiting to go until I get a higher teir deck? I've had pretty good results from using it at my LGS, but I'm a little uncertain about how it would perform against mainly tier 1 decks that would be at a competitive modern event.
For reference of the deck: U/G Blitzkrieg Infect

I've played a lot of Legacy and yesterday was my first Modern FNM. I had a blast with Only YOU Can Start A Forest Fire (4-1 FNM!) and went 4-1, placing 5th out of 25-30 players. Not bad for my first competition, I think.
I may take that deck to a qualifier, given it's close enough. I'm curious to see how Red Deck Wins does against much of the uber competitive meta. Thoughts?
