Affinity vs. USA control

I play Affinity, and USA control is just a terrible matchup for me. There is almost nothing I can do against the burn, snap, bur, Electrolyze . How do you beat it? Game two they bring out Stony Silence

you curl up in a corner and die. Simple as that said the U/W/R player.

But you're going to have to bait the counterspells, not over extend and force them to play at your pace, keep the threats coming and often. Thoughtseize , Spellskite Blood Moon are your friends against it. I know playing U/W/R against Blood Moon is pain, but I'll fetch the basics if I know it's there early on. You'll also probably want Wear / Tear to deal with Stony Silence .

AnagonLordofSnakes that would shut down your own Arcbound Ravager , Cranial Plating , Steel Overseer and Vault Skirge which is pretty important cards for affinity

To be honest, it's a tough fight. UWR is almost perfectly suited to combat Affinity since ultimately so few cards in the deck actually matter. Usually the game swings in the first few turns depending on if they have the right answer for the good cards you drew. Once they get you top decking it's basically over.

Thoughtseize can at least help you line up your threats to their answers and Spell Pierce can assist in avoiding some major blow outs.

You also want to get in the habit of mulliganing aggressively. Steel Overseer + dudes can be a pretty good hand in many match-ups, but against UWR they are guaranteed to kill that Steel Overseer leaving you will little else on board.

Yeah I'm not sure there is a single card that can make all your stuff uncounted able. But Spellskite is a good card vs burn

America is a tough match up in general, so much ''no''. Cavern of Souls perhaps? As mentioned, thoughtseize is real good. But what it really boils down to is how you are playing. You need to pace yourself, and keep a few threats in hand, play a little slower maybe.

8vomit Unfortunately, Cavern of Souls is kind of a bust for affinity. Here's the typical make-up of creature types in a standard affinity list - 4 beast, 4 soldier, 6 construct, 4 thopter, 4 pest, 4 imp. Everything but Memnite and Steel Overseer is a completely separate creature type.
