Akroma VS Steel Wind???

Akroma, Angel of Wrath or Sphinx of the Steel Wind? Which is better? Arguments for both? If you were to run a reanimator package, which is the way to go? Let's discuss!
The haste from Akroma is relevant if you plan to reanimate. Sometimes you only get something for the turn it comes down. The main upside to the Sphinx is Lifelink but he also can get chumped by lingering souls.
I'm leaning towards Akroma but it's very close

Probably Sphinx, because of lifelink. But Dalek is right, there are much better targets than either of those.

Their reanimator package is Griseldad, Elesh Norn, Empyrial Archangel, and Akroma as of now.

If you want the lifelink, there are guys that are harder to deal with than Sphinx, like Wurmcoil and Blood Baron, mentioned previously.
Akroma's protection from black is highly relevant, as are trample and haste. If it's between the two, I like her.
Just out of curiosity, at the event you played in (congrats by the way on your results), what big guys seemed to get you the most crucial effects? Against what decks? Was a second biggie needed often, or not? Some of that info might help sort the issue.

Wizard_of_the_Broke Elesh and Griseldad seemed to be the MVPs, but then they were also the only two I ever flipped into lol! I did flip into an Iona vs burn of course, and I made a misplay missing an opportunity to bin my Empyrial angel in one game for the reanimate win. Depending on the match ups, Griseldads ability to refill my hand was pretty nice, but losing that much life was relevant most of the games as he would get removed before I could lifelink back up...Elesh was awesome with lingering souls and timely reinforcements on pretty much every game. I actually didn't have an Akroma last night so I ran the Sphinx in its place, but as I said I never saw it. At this point I'm kinda thinking about just dropping it all together and only running 3 fatties, maybe...I never really needed more than one, but there were a few games where it would have been great. And I never once sided in my titans...I honestly can't think of any matches where they would be better??

Titan doesn't really synergize with anything like Elesh does, he's just a pure value guy with very good immediate impact. I think Titan should be decent against a removal-heavy deck like Jund, but something like Akroma also hoses all their removal. So yeah, you may want to swap him out.
Elesh in the main seems unanimous at this point.
I like Grisel more now that you have more counters, making the added draw much better.
I think the remaining mainboard slot, and 2 sideboard spots should cover 3 criteria:
1: Gains life.
2: Dodges black removal.
3: Dodges Path to Exile.
There can certainly be overlap, and you can certainly have stuff that only mitigates the removal, like Wurmcoil or Resolute Archangel.

I would imagine that Wurmcoil would be better against Jund than Grave Titan...am I wrong? and as much as I love Resolute Archangel, it would be a major sad face to flip into her early...though with the reanimate package as well, it's potentially a 2x life reset per game...hmmm...

Grave titan accrues greater advantage overall and dodges all of junds removal, including liliana sac.

Yeah, I still think 1 or even 2 Wurmcoils in the 75 somewhere is the way to go. It is just really good against the majority of the field.

We have a long-standing debate about what to mainboard and sideboard here, as far as big creatures go: PolyRites .
I'm sure more input would be appreciated, and I'd be curious to hear your opinions. The basic criteria are that the deck needs fatties to Polymorph into, but we can't do anything that gets shuffled into the library when it dies.

In all honesty? Neither? In a reanimator package I would want something with a bigger impact like a praetor or griselbrand or Avacyn or Iona...
