Anyone have Chapin's Grixis Control list from GP Charlotte?

Hey guys! I saw Patrick playing Grixis on camera a couple times and I googled it but couldn't find anything. It looked very similar to a list that I've been considering building and I wanted to see what Chapin has come up with for it.
I find it hilarious that Gurmag Angler is seeing play in eternal formats.
And it's utterly stupid that the foil is $12.

I'm surprised to find it in a control deck! I mean, Tasigur is a shoe-in, but I wouldn't have thought to put it in control, and definitely not 3 of them.
But, considering that control aims to go to the long game, delve spells make a lot of sense too.

I think it's mainly because the deck can't play Tarmogoyf, and it needs some big end game beater, Angler is about as close as it gets in Black.

I suggest that we start celebrating when a true control list actually wins an event XD

Did this do well? Sorry I haven't been following it.
21 lands, no Gitaxian Probe, and 4 Cryptic Command . What do we think of that?

@ChiefBell That's actually really interesting. Maybe in a meta where a ton of G/B/x variants are popping around, that isn't such a huge problem since those decks tend to go for grindy games anyways. The 4x command is well suited for that. I don't see this being a staple in control lists all around, but rather a meta-based call.

I don't have a problem with cryptic - it's a great card. But its mostly agreed that 24 lands is the right amount for a deck that wants to play 4 drops. Now this has a fair amount of card draw so I could see 22 or something. But 21 for me just /kind of/ seems to be pushing it.

I mean, he only has 4 cards with mana cost 4 or above, assuming that the delve creatures are cast for one...

So does Jund or Abzan! a few rhino or hunt master / voldaren
Maybe if I ran Dark Confidant as card draw I could go to 23 land?

ChiefBell It looks a little land light because it runs so many cantrips. It just see so many cards that a higher land count would actually flood it.

I agree, I feel that his land count is far too low. In fact, in the few games I watched him play, he seemed to only reach 5-6 land. In fact, he almost got stuck on three a few times but got lucky. I prefer 22-23 land, and also the addition of 2 Darkslick Shores to cast those T1 cantrips.
Also, I don't think Gitaxian Probe in here is worth it. It runs quite a number of cantrips already, and Probe isn't better than any of the eight one-mana ones Chapin already runs.
Finally, I think that 3x Cryptic may be the optimal number, despite that I want the fourth in there.

Yeah, he did use a lot of cantrips... But 24-25 is the best place to be for traditional control decks. Shaving 2 lands (down to 22-23) for the addition of cantrips seems ok. But -4 lands? Hmm.. It's very suspect.

It's a risk, for sure. Whether it pays off or not - I can't say. I would feel comfortable on 22 with 8 cantrips.

Here where the flaws I found in it:
Other than that, It looks ok. Haven't looked thoroughly at the sideboard.

He did really well with the list, he would have top 8'd but lost out on tiebreakers and ended up 9th. Also the reason why he won the games he won was because his topdecks were superior to his opponents in the endgame. Not ideal, but still a good thought experience.

Ok, so here's my take on a revised list for Grixis Control (based off of Chapin's model):
