In the MTGO 4-0 decks from last week only one deck ran more than 8 basics, that being merfolk. Right now pod and splinter twin are running the meta. Both decks that run a fair amount of non basic lands. I'm wondering do you guys think we are going to see deck focused on attacking these non basic lands, probably through Blood Moon , show up?

Thing is, both twin and pod are pretty resilient to Blood Moon . Pod can have birds, Noble Hierarch , or Qasali Pridemage and beat it pretty easily (or just have a strong enough on board clock). Twin just needs figure out what you're on before turn 3 (not hard) then either tutor an island or already have exarch/pestermite in play.

Also, we already had a little onslaught of the Blue Moon deck at the PT.

Once Blue Moon was a known quantity, Blood Moon became much worse. People prioritized fetching basics, and played around it.

Yeah, the Blue Moon deck that ran Blood Moon main had a really good run at PT BNG putting one player in the Top 8. But the card is quite easy to play around.

Are Blood Moon decks the reason that the card has gone up in value recently?

Blood Moon can hose a lot of decks, Twin is usually not one of them, other than fetches, I only run 3 non-basics, most twin decks run blood moon in the sideboard.. if your deck can support it, moon is an excellent s/b choice.. I've set back a lot of opponents with it.
