Could you use Birthing Pod to sac Kitchen Finks , then blink the finks with Restoration Angel (that you got from the pod activation)?

no, because sacrificing kitchen finks is part of the cost and putting the resto angel into play is part of the effect. you can tell which is which by looking for the colon (:). by the time resto hits play, the finks is already dead.

unless you are talking about his persist trigger. but if he already had a -1/-1 on him, then no.

@dandugg: It's assumed we're talking about persist; that's the only way you could sacrifice the Kitchen Finks and have it come back.
Rules questions should be asked in the Q&A.

@ Epochalyptik unless he was confused between cost and effect and was thinking the resto could enter play before finks left play from being sac'd with pod. ive met more than my fair share of players whom have thought that very thing.

@dandugg: I meant after the finks came back from the persist trigger. I wasn't sure if resto would technically enter before the finks came back, or after. I guess I should have clarified. Thank you everyone for your help!

Well the way it works is you have to order your triggers correctly. Once you finish paying the activation cost for Birthing Pod 's ability, the persist trigger triggers but doesn't get placed onto the stack yet because you're in the process of activating Birthing Pod . Once you finish the entire activation process (cost, targets, etc) then you get to place it on the stack, as well as Kitchen Finks ' trigger. You must place Birthing Pod activation first, then persist trigger on top, so that Kitchen Finks will come into play before you search for Restoration Angel .

@Goody: That's incorrect. The ability you're activating is always placed onto the stack first. The first part of casting a spell or handling an ability is declaring that process and putting the object onto the stack.
After you're done handling the ability or spell, it will be on the stack, and you'll stack any relevant triggered abilities above it.

Yes. it is a very popular thing to do in the Pod deck actually.
