Blood Moon in Naya Burn?
Modern forum

I've had Blood Moon in my burn sideboard for forever (it started out mono-). I switched to Naya, and, afraid of the turn two/turn three Wurmcoil Engines and Primeval Titans, I kept it in, saying I'm hurting them more than me.
My question now is: is Blood Moon still a good hate card in Modern? It seems most decks have adapted to not get hosed by it, and it makes my mana base clunkier. Even Tron can overcome it by stalling until they hit six mana.
It seems like a waste of $50 anymore, and does it still deserve a sideboard spot in Naya burn?
Edit: I didn't expect this to get as "deck help-y" as it did, sorry if it's in the wrong spot
Aren't the biggest threats to burn stuff like Leyline and Kor Firewalkers? Both of em come down before Blood Moon even kicks in. I'd say that if you are running into a ton of tron and amulet bloom, maybe keep a couple in the board if you think they really help. However, I think you either have to burn em out before they kill you or sideboard stuff that beats their sideboard tech.
For example, game two vs. burn i'm siding in three leylines, three thragtusks, a pyroclasm and that three mana sorcery that deals 3 damage to non flyers if you paid red and three mana to flyers if you paid green.
None of that is affected by blood moon, and since moon is t3, I might even land a thragtusk t2 before you even get a chance to use it.
All that said, I can't see blood moon's dropping anytime soon so many hold onto em anyway.

I like to side out some multicolour cards for the Moon, and windmill slam against the land decks, and greedy mana bases. It's certainly a good hate card when it stops the opponent from playing their spells.

I don't see Blood Moon doing too much in a lot or matchups because it really slows you down and wastes a valuable turn, but it's such a good hate card to Tron/Bloom it might be worth playing. That's a tough one.

Blood Moon is an amazing hate card in Modern. That part hasn't changed. It's not a good hate card to counter what screws over Burn (Kor Firewalker, Timely Reinforcements, Dragon's Claw, Leyline of Sanctity, Feed the Clan, Thragtusk), because (as kyuuri117 partially noted), those cards come down before Blood Moon, or they don't really care that the Moon is up. Furthermore, the decks that get hit over the head hardest by Blood Moon (Amulet Bloom and Tron) aren't ones that Burn has an overly difficult time with overall.
TL;DR: Blood Moon is good. It just doesn't help Burn overcome what hates on it.

Yes, it still shuts down half the format, including the mirror. Just don't try to play three colors with BM, you'll turn off like 16 cards in your deck. I'd say stick to mono red if you want to bring the moon
