B/R/x Phyrexian Control--Grixis or Mardu?

Not too long ago I became aware of a favorable interaction (or lack there of) between Phyrexian Crusader and using Anger of the Gods as a sweeper. So I was thinking of brewing an anti-meta Control deck with that sort of thing in mind, the question is: should I splash in or ?

If I go Grixis colors (); I gain access to all kinds of Counterspells and superior forms of card draw..

If I go Dega/Mardu colors (); I gain access to Path to Exile and some of most oppressive sideboard options ever printed..

Which of these two color combinations would prove to be more competitive given the current meta?

Grixis and Mardu are generally considered T2 archetypes, but it depends on what you want to go for. The term "anti-meta" to begin with is a bit ambiguous considering how much is actually in the meta. Black, actually, is probably your weakest color. If you really want to, just go UWR but then it becomes the America control deck that's not doing too well in the current Modern. If you really want black, I'd suggest white just because RBW has answers to just about everything.

I think you want the white cards right now. Counterspells have become worse due to Pod and Delver being popular decks.

White is definitely favourable right now as Path to Exile is a thing against Tarmogoyf

You know that's pretty encouraging to hear. I've actually been wanting to brew a competitive deck in Dega colors anyway..

Here's a rough draft of what I came up with so far: B/R/W Phyrexian Control. The other nice thing is that I already own all but a few cards in this list too..
