Burn: Boros or Rakdos?
Modern forum

With Treasure Cruise out, Burn has to go somewhere. Rakdos and Boros seem like obvious choices.
Boros Deck Does OK gets the best burn spell in the game, Boros Charm, and could field Lightning Helix.
Rakdos Deck Does OK gets Bump in the Night, Rakdos Charm, a more consistent manabase with Blackcleave Cliffs and Night's Whisper.
Which is the stronger path forward?

I agree, go Mardu man. But between the two, Boros Burn is superior.

You should definitely play both. It will give you the ultimate flexibility with sideboard tech, and 3 color manabases in modern should be no problem.

Here's the Mardu version: Red Deck Does OK
The board is pretty laden with Affinity hate.

Boros Charm is not the best burn spell in the game, Lightning Bolt is...

Boros is better than Rakdos. Could go 3 colour but it's totally u necessary.

Mardu gives you the best overall options. However, I'm under the impression that Blood Moon may be a very important sideboard card to hose greedy mana bases like Gruul Tron, Jund, Junk, etc. Just thought I'd point that out.

They won't bring in Blood Moon against a deck with mostly red spells.

If I were you I would try boros for Lightning Helix and Boros Charm and there are others I cannot think of the top of my head.

GlistenerAgent - The point is that monored and boros burn should be running Blood Moon in the sideboard to punish those decks like Abzan etc.

Eh, you've still got Molten Rain if you want it, which I'd argue is more than good enough.

I should've been a bit more specific. Burn want to run Blood Moon in the side, ergo splashing for other colors makes Moon worse for you. One could argue that Molten Rain is good as well, I suppose.

I'm a big fan of Boros with a tiny splash of black for a single sideboard card. Every post-board game a burn player will encounter has a singular theme.... life-gain. I have found the sweetest way to hate this out is Rain of Gore. Also, with the massive influx of Siege Rhino in the format as well as staples like lightning helix, RoG is an underestimated all-star IMO.

Why not both?
But actually though, playing three colors comes at no cost and gives you access to Wear / Tear as well as Rakdos Charm and others.
