Ok so this may be a dumb idea, and let me know if it is. Does anyone think running bitterblossom in lantern control would've a good idea? It seems like it would work great as a finisher, the only problem is obviously the life loss. Would that be too much of a drawback?
You can add in Sun Droplet to negate the life loss and helps against burn.
I played Artificer's Intuition as a 1 of in my lantern control deck

I was considering Sun Droplet with it,I already run a playset in the sideboard for burn. My biggest worry is that they might stall the deck from doing what its trying to do. also,I can't believe I typed butterblossom! xD

Sun Droplet doesn't work towards your plan, so you need to run suboptimal cards G1 to make other suboptimal cards good. If you don't get the other, your gameplan is just worse than the usual one, and if you get both, it would've been more beneficial just to get 2 Ghoulcaller's Bells.

Not to mention life loss and damage is two seperate things. L

No because of the life loss (which, as noted above, won't be addressed by maindecking Sun Droplet), and double no because Ensnaring Bridge affects all players. This is why 8-Rack and Lantern Control plan on not winning with creatures.

Here's the lantern control deck that won GPOKC.
Guess who is opponent is? Burn.
Guess who wins Zach the match? Sun Droplet.

Point being...? We know it's good against burn, that's why it's in there. Bitterblossom slaps on life loss, not damage, so Sun Droplet doesn't do anything for you.

The point was to point out that sev shouldn't be thinking of putting it in there, he should put it in there for that match up.

Butterblossom sounds delicious.
Anyway, it doesn't seem like a good idea. You already win by literally grinding their deck down, or with a Pyrite Spellbomb loop, or Ghirapur AEther Grid. Why put in a card which doesn't help you win over the other strategies, and will slowly kill you?
