Could Grixis Faeries be Viable?

I'm sitting here thinking about the already, very sturdy mana base for U/B Faeries and the Unbanned Bitterblossom..
So I thought how nice it would be to add Lightning Bolt and Electrolyze to a deck like that.
Viable?

More just throwing out the idea for discussion. I can't afford the best cards in the deck

Definitely viable. I brewed up a deck a while back, I thought it was great. Plus we have the ktk fetches for a solid mana base

Just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should be. Paging gnarlicide for some kind of story to prove this point.

Why don't you just try enjoying a casual discussion?

I think it's viable, but I can't say it for certain. It's certainly an interesting thought. I may have to try it out...but it'll be on Tappedout or something of that ilk. If you do try it tell me how it goes.

That reminds me of a discussion me and my friend had a while ago. We were talking about modern and he said he was making a mix of faeries and caw-blade (FeyBlade). It sounded really cool, but he never made it. I'm just saying that faeries with swords is badass and you should consider adding 1-6 or so swords (starting with Sword of Fire and Ice).

Yeah, I don't have the resources to make the physical deck either. But I would love to see a better endowed player try my proposed deck.
Which isn't complete yet.

Dude just give the deck a go for yourself that's how you'll know if it's good or not.

Lol, BrandonJamesCAC... you said you would love to "see a better endowed player"... LMAO...
Sorry about that.
Anyways, as Mr. Bunnyants said. Some things just shouldn't be done. But I am on board with this idea of Grixis Faeries. Go for it. I played Dredgevine when Jund and BGx decks were running DRS and Scooze! people thought I was crazy until I took down a TCG max point tournament.
But then again, people thought I was crazy for trying to take home three morbidly obese ladies home at the same time. There was about 1100 pounds between all of them. I figured this would be my only opportunity to take part in a four way... Yeah... I am still surprised I survived.
And to think that I always thought that beer goggles was a made up excuse to pick up gnarly women.

A day will come when gnarlicide causes my brain to implode from one of his stories...
Anyway, on topic. I say go for it. Electrolyze is a pretty great tempo card. I wouldn't run 4x Lightning Bolt. Well... maybe. It requires testing though.

Onslaught Fetches meant that UB Faeries was a thing of the past. 3 colours or bust.

You can test any version online using Cockatrice or untap.in

Will do.
Anyone want to chime in with a breakdown of mana base?

Honestly, if you make a good enough deck, I'm sure a really good player would be able to win heaps with it. Jeff Hoogland seems to be doing fantastic with Spellstutter Sprite and V Clique. His trick is to play a control deck with counterspell creatures, rather than aggro faeries.
Make a Grixis control deck with faeries and do well with it.

Try it.
