Day's Undoing: Should it be ban?
Modern forum

Out of every currently spoiled card in Magic Origins, not one has been as controversial as Day's Undoing. As a modern living end player, I am greatly concerned about the reshuffle all graveyards back into library's effect, as it gets rid of my creature stocked graveyard. Any help about how to combat this effect, or just thoughts on the card itself in general, would be great to hear, so post away. There are much cheaper effects than Day's Undoing to mess with graveyard strategies. See Relic of Progenitus. There is no cause to ban either, especially DU which probably won't see Modern play.

It has potential, but I doubt it's exactly ban worthy in Modern. It's probably going to be much better in Legacy, where it could act as a pseudo-Windfall.

I wouldn't say it won't see modern play, it's a great card. It just needs to find its niche. There's been talk about Burn wanting it.

It isn't Memory Jar. You can't ask for a ban before it's even released. And you should probably be more worried about Rest in Peace.

If your opponent uses Day's Undoing, it passes the turn to you with a fully restocked hand and library. With the land you already have in play, you should be in decent shape to put your combo back together in 1-2 turns as long as you can survive. Also, if you know your opponent is playing Day's Undoing, you should be able to Violent Outburst into Living End in response. Overall, it shouldn't hurt you any more than a Nihil Spellbomb.

Hmm, I haven't seen that but it makes sense. Yikes, that is scary for burn.

Please read the forum descriptions before posting. The TappedOut forum is for site support and discussion. The Deck Help forums are for help with deck lists. This thread is none of those things.
Moved.
Further, please check the forums before posing a new thread, especially during spoiler season. There's already a very developed thread on this topic here. Defer to that thread for discussion.

ducttapedeckbox However relic is a sideboard card, and i will never face it game one. I also think that you are greatly under estimating the power of day's undoing. In burn it is a lot like Treasure Cruise, and with affinity they will play out there entire hand by turn 2, making restocking their hand on turn 3 very good. I am mostly worried about this card as it means graveyard hate pre side board. These are just my opinions though.
