Does Jund Have A Future In Modern?

Jund has been one of my favorite wedges for awhile, and I had a blast when Jund was popular in standard around the innistrad block, and had fun with Jund while Deathrite Shaman was still legal. But since the bannings that have hurt the Jund wedge, (ei: Bloodbraid Elf , Deathrite Shaman) all the Jund decks have become 4x Dark Confidant, 4x Tarmogoyf and/or 4x Scavenging Ooze and some generic removal. Getting to the point of this article, does anyone think Jund still has a solid home in modern? Have you seen any fun Jund brews? Let me know what you think. Feel free to discuss deck lists from GP's or just some ideas for the wedge that you have had. Thank you!
I'm a huge fan of Kitchen Finks in a meta full of burn. Foregoing Dark Confidant, i think, means that you should splash for Treasure Cruise.
Jund has huge potential with Treasure Cruise. Get rid of the bobs, play one Olivia Voldaren and one huntsmaster. Add 3 sooze, 4 goyfs and the usual removal sweet (with extra removal for cruise).
I am actually playing a form of this in my playtest group now. (i play pod usually)
You only need ONE island to cast Treasure Cruise!!!

Speaking of all this goddamn burn, who else is rooting for a Leyline of Sanctity reprint in either M16 or MMA2?

I don't know @vishnarg, I wouldn't mind a Leyline of Sanctity reprint in M16, but they would most likely reprint the rest of the leylines too not just one, and I don't know how well they would fit in with standard.

So this is the deck I have going right now. Sincce the discard isn't as great as it used to be, I may switch over to more card advantage like Domri Rade and Chandra, Pyromaster. between those 2 and Courser of Kruphix, I could potentially draw an additional 3 cards per turn if I go that route.

@CommanderOfBolas nice ideas, do you have a link for it? Would be awesome to see it. Or is it still in a prototype phase?

I like Domri Rade, he can count as removal by having creatures fight other creatures and he can surmount to a card advantage. Chandra, Pyromaster is nice also as she allows you to play more cards in one turn.

Ive found ghor-clan rampager bloodrush to be very effective in my jond aggro deck. Makes some serious use of Bob and other bears like scavenging ooze and gatekeeper of malakir. Sorry for no links. Forgot how to do then

Jund has been a Tier 1 deck since the founding of modern, and has taken 2 huge hits along the way (Bloodbraid Elf and Deathrite Shaman). It can still perform pretty well, but the archetype has been spread a bit by Junk and Rock decks too. I think the color combination is still one of the best in Modern, and it will have a resurgence one day.
