Does Linvala, Keeper of Silence deserve SB play?

It could go in many decks because it is great against twin. Maybe in Abzan or hate bears.

I think so, as a one-of. Flying, potential finisher, out of bolt range, shuts down a bunch of decks...

Eh it's cool but aside from Twin I don't know any decks that have just a ton of activated abilities.

Off the top of my head I can think of the following creatures:

Scavenging Ooze
Fulminator Mage
Grim Lavamancer
Tasigur, the Golden Fang
Spellskite
Noble Hierarch / Birds of Paradise / Elvish Mystic / Llanowar Elves

Those are all I see regularly. So I'd say if there is a lot of Jund in your meta then maybe. Hatebears does seem like the best place for it.

With the up and coming podless pod decks, Linvala also shuts down Viscera Seer, Ezuri, Renegade Leader, Heritage Druid, and probably a number of other things I am forgetting of.

She does but T4 is somewhat late in the day.

How does she hose affinity? They still get to equip and go sideways

What do you mean podless pod decks?

People only tried that when pod got banned and they soon realized there was nothing there.

Podless pod as in Melira combo that now has some new fun toys (namely Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and Collected Company). They're making a comeback, and they're pretty good.

Collected Company into Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit and/or melira with the same pod combos is podless pod
