Gaea's Revenge's abilities?

I understand that there are probably better 7-drops in modern (Karn) but I'm thinking that Gaea's Revenge is pretty resilient to almost all removal apart from wraths and Beast Within. In a probably pretty budget deck, would it be good in a green ramp/devotiony deck? Or even someplace else?
Boza has covered most of it, but I would add that its 5 toughness makes it vulnerable to getting gang-blocked, which is a real possibility at the stage of the game when it would make its entrance. I don't think it's a Modern-caliber card.

O yeah... lack of trample. Apparently as I think through cards at 1 am to ask about the next morning I overlook some pretty regular problems. Thanks!

Could wreck non-black Control. Might be good in a SB slot. They can't counter it, Path to Exile or Vapor Snag it. Just leaves Supreme Verdict, Terminus, and Elspeth, Sun's Champion.

If you're using it to get through a control deck, such as Jeskai Control, I would rather see Mistcutter Hydra instead. It scales better, can get out of Bolt range easily, uncounterable, and pro blue means that it takes a Verdict or Path to get rid of it. So therefore, you can side it in as a 2 of easily it's perfect follow up after a Wipe, or early game to finish them off faster if they stumble. Granted this isn't the most ideal card, but it's a card nontheless

I use it in any mono green ramp deck vs control decks, alongside Mistcutter. They both have advantages, but GR is very difficult to remove once on the board. I also side in Thrun, the Last Troll whenever I side in either of those two, as Thrun is much easier to get into play and is already a big threat at 4cmc.

Geth's Verdict, Gatekeeper of Malakir, Crackling Doom, all get it without a problem, and the 2 former are useful against anything hexproof/indestructible... etc. if you can keep the board clean from small creatures.
Luckily none of these is mainstream, and they are heavily frowned upon, so there is not that great chance to be on the receiving end of those.
Also big fatties with small toughness are very susceptible to 1st strikers, and not having trample, means a creature with death touch can foil plans.

But besides wraths and beast within, it is blanketed by sacrifice effects and dorky creatures like Birds of Paradise or Lingering Souls, since it does not have trample. For modern's standards it is severely outclassed by pretty much everything.
