Glissa Modern?

A good friend of mine really wants to build a Glissa, the Traitor based deck. He says he wants kill spells and a lot of artifacts to trigger off Glissa, but I was always the better deck builder so he asked me for a few ideas. Any card suggestions are really appreciated!
PS. I know almost nothing about the Modern Meta so if you could explain some important concepts i need to think about that would be great too!
PSS. Something in my gut tells me Glissa isn't exactly the best card to base a deck around, really im just trying to get into Modern Deckbuilding.
Glissa definitely isn't a good card at all, definitely not a card you should be trying to build around.

The problem with Glissa, the Traitor is that even with first strike and deathtouch, she's very easily removed. She dies to Lightning Bolt , Go for the Throat , Path to Exile , and Abrupt Decay , four of the most common and powerful removal spells in Modern. And you can bet that your opponents will be all "Aw crap" when she hits the field and target her accordingly, especially if you built the deck around her. I know I would.
That said, I would try run her in either a Voltron deck with Equipments for some heavy beatdown or a B/G variant with maybe a bit of hand disruption and sacrificial artifacts, like the aforementioned Executioner's Capsule , as well as some artifact creatures.

Probably the best way to build it is an artifact rock deck, with cards like Replicas, Capsuale, and Salvage Titan as a beater

Rock refers to an attrition style of midrange that disrupts, destroys and grinds people down. Efficent beaters like Tarmogoyf, and disruption like Lilliana of the Veil are common.

You'd honestly be better of trying to use her in EDH. Modern is not the format for her.

You could always run Swiftfoot Boots to protect her, although that takes up card slots.
I understand wanting to build cool decks, even if the cards aren't suited to the format. Keeps the game fresh for me. High five.

I've always thought she just seemed like an efficient beater in a GB aggro deck. Slap a Rancor
on her and go to town...people seem to be stuck on her recursion ability.
Don't build around her because your deck is much worse when she dies. Put her in something synergistic like...BUG Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas or something. That being said...she goes from being a first liner to a fourth liner competing for a spot. Grinders are important too though...

Lightning Greaves for protection, Executioner's Capsule and Ratchet Bomb for repeatable kill effects. That's what I roll with when I play with my Glissa modern deck. Works pretty well, but like everyone else is saying, I wouldn't necessarily make her the card the deck is built around.

I am also working on a deathtouch/ first strike deck and believe I am very close to making it decent.
With that said, there have been a lot of people that have tried to construct this deck and it doesn't pan out. The problem is deathtouch/first strike needs a lotof support which means more time, mana, and draw. Also, try to keep the deck simple and not complicated. For instance, use all deathtouch creatures and give them first strike with artifacts. Or vice versa.
The other problem is people try to build the deck around Glissa, the Traitor . There's a few problems with that, she's squishy, and legendary sp you can only have one on the field. That doesn't mean you can't run 4 of them though. I do and it works fine for consistency. Just don't focus on building her up with all your support. Focus on enhancing everyone as a whole. Think Golgari swarm. So you should be swarming. Get a lot of low cost guys and make them better with support.
Cards that go well with Glissa, the Traitor are Lightning Greaves , Darksteel Plate , and Lure .
Cards that go well with the theme of the deck are Quietus Spike , Viridian Longbow , and Bladed Pinions .
If you want to take a look at mine I'll leave it here:

I tried running her in the rock as a tarmogoyf stand in with a couple if swords. The problem is bolt as she can't withstand it. Still she's my favourite card and I'm planning on getting her to a ptq ready deck someday

Holy crap...with Livewire Lash just get out Lightning Greaves and repeatedly equip and unequip! Clear the whole bored!

It has to be a spell, sadly, not an ability. But the potential is pretty solid. Vines of Vastwood , Undying Evil suddenly become removal and a counterspell in one when cast on a glissa with lash equipped.

I would maybe try and include Executioner's Capsule . Seems like it could be very well abused with Glissa
