It did well but I don't like it too much. Note the mainboard Roast but no Terminate. Why?

Specifically being able to cast it with Blood Moon on the field.

That's a good shout. Could up number of basics to compensate though.

Grixis Moon? This dude was meta-ed a lot. Personally I find it interesting to see more and more decks maining Kolaghan's Command. It's also interesting to see a lot of sided Ashiok who is probably also really good in this meta. The Roast was most likely due to either it being slightly easier to cast and a lack of Restoration Angel / Thundermaw Hellkite and friends

Also if that was the case (mana problems) then it makes shackles risky too!

I think it was a ballsy meta call, and it paid off. While I prefer the security of terminate, the roast is much easier to cast (note the lack of blood crypts). It also is much less likely to get picked off with hand disruption because people underestimate it.
But look at the top 16. Out of them, only ONE played flying creatures, and that was a sliver deck. Look at the top played creatures. ALL can be killed by roast.

ALso I've been saying since it was spoiled that kolaghan's command is amazing. Glad to see it playing out

i second the use of Kolaghan's Command, it is definitely amazing. it has eternal value for sure alongside Atarka's Command. the rest of them are standard all stars.

this list reminds me of that one temur twin deck with mb thragtusk and huntmaster of the fells.
also, kolaghan's command is insanely good. super versatile. I'm playing 3 in my 75

Ooh that's pretty. Nice to see pure control doing something in this meta. And about the Roast VS Terminate, it's as fluffy said, probably because of two Blood Moon. Roast hits basically everything that Terminate does anyways, and can also get Lili. Except not at instant speed...

Which proves yet again that I need some sleep. Excuse that idiotic part of my remark.

what makes it so good in these decks though?
Alone all of these abilities are meh. Is it doing 2 at once that attracts people?

i like that. I've been using it too. Getting back a young pyro seems really great.

I'm testing Commanf in Grixis Twin.
But whatever, The deck seems sweet, but there's a lot I don't like.

Honestly I'm not a fan of the moon package the most here. A delver package just seems batter...or a twin one i suppose.

Wow, this is certainly interesting! I've been looking for a good reason to play in my control decks recently (I used to play UWR Control, but it isn't doing too well in this meta), and maindeck blood moon is certainly a great way to get free wins. I agree that Vedalken Shackles is weird here, but I LOVE that it's maindecking Serum Visions. Also, the one extra Blood moon in the sideboard is nice against Tron and Bloom Titan.
Personal changes:
I'd sideboard the Thoughtseize, as they're not great against Burn and also bad topdecks against Abzan. The 2x Mana Leaks should just be 2x more Remand, as it does more when it's consistent. The one Grim Lavamancer is weird. I'd like to see both 1-2x Dismember and Batterskull in the 75. The deck should mainboard 2x Vendilion Cliques, and 23 lands seems low. 1-2x Electrolyze is mandatory. Also, maybe Damnation?

I know, the Lavamancer should be a second mainboard Spellskite to protect Tasigur and the Moons while screwing over the Twin matchup.

There are things I like, and things I don't like. Vedalken Shackles is something I don't like, and 2 Blood Moon, but if they were singletons, and there was a suitable way to gain life, I would like it a lot more.
The creature base is great. I really like that.

I don't like the counterspell package at all.
But at least the deck is doing some things right. It's worth looking at.

There are 4 Thoughtseize which doesn't seem right at all. Going 2-2 with Inquisition of Kozilek, maybe 3-1 if you can race the life loss, is much better. Even though it's control, Inquisition is still better, because there is no mainboard way to gain life. No Lightning Helix. No Batterskull.

I'm not some amazing magic pro so I'm unsure about this but here's what I'd play:
Creatures
Same. No faults. Love Tasigur as a finisher and card advantage engine. Love pyromancer to slow eek out late game wins.
Spells
3 Lightning Bolt (-1 from list)
2 Thoughtseize (-2 from list)
2 Inquisition of Kozilek (+2 from list)
3 Cryptic Command (+1 from list)
1 Remand
2 Roast (replace Go for the Throat)
Lands
Same.

That is actually fairly similar to my grixis control deck. Looks like i am on the right track!

Either card availability or concerned about the multicolored mana.
