GWR

Has anyone seen a GWR Assemble the Legion , Doubling Season ramp deck? It sounded fun in my head, was wondering if it would work well.

It seems neat, but even with the ramp is probably very very slow. Naya colors can push out a lot more things much earlier. Both cards are just too slow for it to be viable competitively, but it might do fairly well at regular old FNMs.

That is what I was thinking of it for.

That sounds SUPER slow. Even if you get Assemble the Legion out on turn 3 and Doubling Season out on 4, then you still only make four 1/1s the next turn and by then your opponent either is killing you with Grapeshot , Splinter Twin , various Birthing Pod combos, etc. or will be able to disrupt the setup with Cryptic Command or the like. I think that this is better saved for a casual setting. GWR is known as Naya, by the way.

Silly me, thinking of only the negatives... Let's see, GWR... T1 Stomping Ground , Arbor Elf , T2 Temple Garden, Utopia Sprawl , Llanowar Elves , Lightning Helix , T3 Land, Doubling Season , Path to Exile , Wild Nacatl , T5 Assemble the Legion , PROFIT

Seems legit.

Whoops, that should be T4, not T5.

I'd probably go with a Parallel Lives instead of the Doubling, unless if you also work with counters and the like~

Oh never mind, I didn't realize the Assemble the Legion counters too, my bad.

Yeah, I am not a modern player. Just looking for something different and fun if I decide to make a modern deck.
