So I have a friend who works at my LGS and he's telling me that Hangarback Walker is viable in R/G tron and he believes that it will fit the deck perfectly. I'm honestly not sold,I am currently testing him in my build as a 2 of in place of 1x kozilek and 1x pyroclasm and while he isn't the worst card it doesn't have a major impact on the board which I feel like R/G tron works. What is everyone else's opinions?
Haha dont worry I figured out he was bad pretty fast into testing him. If he were good in any tron deck U tron seems possible but probably not.

I think origins only gave the modern tron archetypes Orbs of Warding as a sideboard option.

though if anyone could tell me why Hangarback Walker jumped to $15 it'd be nice.

@Demarge, Standard. He is probably one of the best creatures in standard.

Affinity's the Modern deck that I've seen toying around with Hangarback Walker the most. As others have said, it's a rather poor fit in Tron.

Well TheAlexGnan, that's the thing, even if they kill it, you get it's P/T in Thopter tokens, and since we're talking about Tron, it's probably going to come down as a 5/5 or so.
But yeah, Wurmcoil is a thing shrug

Why would I play this when I could just continue to jam my Wurmcoil Engines?
-Every good RG Tron player ever.
The card does literally nothing that you want to be doing. If they have all the removal for your creature threats, jam a planeswalker or you were probably losing that game anyway. Also is a non-bo with Pyroclasm, one of the core pieces of your deck.
