Is it possible to make a "good" W/U hatebear deck? I'm not the biggest fan of green, and I thought I'd try something new and be a super cool rebel #yoloswag kid.

Yea, you definitely could. It wouldn't be as powerful as GW, but you would have extra control support.

In your opinion, what would be some good blue cards that could help out a hatebears deck?

I'm very new to modern and I don't many cards yet :(

Might do, might not. Here is a first crack at what the deck might look like.

Creatures:
4 Ethersworn Canonist
2 Aven Mindcensor
3 Vendilion Clique
4 Dryad Militant
4 Leonin Arbiter
1 Linvala, Keeper of Silence
4 Phyrexian Revoker
2 Phantasmal Image
4 Meddling Mage
Spells
3 AEther Vial
4 Path to Exile
1 Sword of Light and Shadow
1 Sword of Fire and Ice
Land
4 Seachrome Coast
4 Hallowed Fountain
4 Glacial Fortress
4 Plains
4 Island
3 Ghost Quarter

If I ran this deck I would probably put a Geist of Saint Traft package in the sideboard with some Dismember to protect him. Probably some Rest in Peace for the Living End matchup. This deck would get wrecked by GB Midrange or WUR Control so the rest of the sideboard should probably be dedicated to those matchups.

Optionally there are cards like Cursecatcher , Judge's Familiar , Tidebinder Mage , Grimoire Thief , Kira, Great Glass-Spinner , and Cosi's Trickster . Any of these could be playable with some adjustments. Kira in particular would probably be great in the sideboard.

Well I wasn't planning on doing G/W bears in the first place. I was attempting to go W/W. But I don't think it will be that strong. I wanted to go a different route, something not involving green, haha.

Thinking about it, Gitaxian Probe is pretty sick if you're running Meddling Mage and Phyrexian Revoker , as well as being able to flash in a creature at the right moment with vial.

+4 Gitaxian Probe
-1 Island
-1 Linvala, Keeper of Silence
-2 Phantasmal Image

You'd basically end up running Bear Control or Geist Bears or U/W Flash Bears.

4 Leonin Arbiter

4 Vendilion Clique

4 Geist of Saint Traft

4 Meddling Mage

3 Aven Mindcensor

3 Restoration Angel

3 Mirran Crusader

2 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben

1 Linvala, Keeper of Silence

3 AEther Vial

4 Path to Exile

You can also run a few swords for Geist to swing with. Maybe another Thalia since she'll wreck control early.

What exactly is hatebears?

They're bears (2/2s) that hate on things in a deck, hence tipping the board state in your favor.

U/W Vialbears

Something like this. (Also on a side note, I'm looking for constructive criticism for this deck).

Technically, you can run Wilt-Leaf Liege in a u/w build. With modern's mana base, it wouldn't be too hard to cast.
