How do you deal with mirran crusader in mono green

Mirran Crusader puts a big damper in my plans as it can freely block anything I swing with and can attack for a consistent 4 damage per turn.
It bypasses all my typical ways of removal including forcing it to block, blocking it, fighting it, or Dismembering it.
Is trampling over my only choice or are there other cards out there to help?

If you wait, there might be a colorless removal spell coming out in Battle for Zendikar.

Splash another colour or a pretty bad option would be Lifespark Spellbomb. You can turn a land into a colourless 3/3. The 3/3 would still die to the crusader though - they'd trade.

So really the options aren't that great it seems. I either get something that is vulnerable to removal to suicide into it, or I have to hope I can yank something big in late game...

Yeah you have to try to "go over" it with huge creatures that don't care. Wurmcoil Engine etc.

Batterskull could also be good. Lifelink plus can be reused or attached to smaller guys later

Problem would be that you have to attach batter skull to a green creature that can't block the murrain crusader. Though the lifelink offsets his attacks.

I should clarify. The plan would be to block with skull, it dies because x2 strike, then you still get to to re-equip afterwards and continue on with the beats.

Heh. Sure. So even if the germ dies the equipment stays.

But the Germ from Batterskull is black, so not even that kills Crusader.

Blazing Torch if you plan to have critters in play most of the time.

Mutavault can block/kill it if you're playing pump spells.

also Sword of Fire and Ice can kill him and is playable in a green aggro deck.

You could play an artifact.
