Something fun for Modern.
Not a netdeck, just an archetype concept (DO NOT post decklists without explaining the archetype, and only if I need to see the deck to understand the archetype).
It shouldn't be very expensive, but it doesn't need to be dirt-cheap either.
Ideas, TappedOut?
I've been pondering American Superfriend deck. Might be something you could work on.

What are your favorite colors in Magic?
Do you enjoy Aggro, Control, Midrange and Combo equally?
What have you already tried?

Oh... my bad.
My favorite colors are Blue, Green, Red/White, Black; but I care more about my playstyle then my colors.
I like being proactive and not reactive, so Control is my least favorite. I play combo the most, but feel like branching out.
What I have now is

Personally, as some people might have guessed, i am a huge fan of tribal decks. So there is a vote of my own, but i think hate bears would be pretty fun to play as well as you mentioned.

Mono blue BIG fish. Quest for Ula's Temple + Scry. Scry to put creatures on your top deck and then cheat Stormtide Leviathan and Inkwell Leviathan into play.
Quest for the Spinning Temple is my take on it, you can always add more counter magic or other tweaks.

Can you be more specific about your budget? $300 is pretty low-budget for a Modern deck these days. Is that about in the ball park?
A mono-white Heroic Auras deck could be fun, using OP auras like Daybreak Coronet and Spirit Mantle to make your heroic guys big in as few turns as possible, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for ramp. You could have Path to Exile too.

I don't have a budget right now because I don't even have a deck (except for Hatebears, which is only a possibility).
I like Quest for Ula's Temple , but no to everything else.

Maybe a quest deck? Combo with a solid beatdown backup plan.. Quest for the Holy Relic - Argentum Armor - Ornithopter - Memnite - Glint Hawk - Signal Pest and so on.

Thinking about it, but I like Quest for Ula's Temple best (Hatebears is still #1).

Mill is fun. Dredgevine is a thing, it gold fishes for a few turns and pops off with a chain combo. Usually nets a W in the process.
Enchantments with form of the dragon and a way to tutor it out. That could be fun.

What about a glass cannon/reanimater? Like using Goryo's Vengeance /Through the Breach to pop out Griselbrand /Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or some other ridiculous creature.

UW tempo, meshing the best proactive white weenie aggro with the best reactive blue counter spells? Geist of Saint Traft etc?

I play a Rakdos Infect deck in Modern. Not too expensive (around $300), it's a homebrew, competitive and, above all, very fun to play.
I like Infect and I like playing cards like Funeral Charm (extremely versatile), Rise/Fall (Hymn to Tourach level of awesomeness 2/3 of the time) and Surgical Extraction (not many folks play this on main decks). OTOH, Phyrexian Crusader is my all time favourite creature.

I'm not an expert to Modern... But my brother has a deck that runs Archetype of Imagination with Stormtide Leviathan , he runs it with a set of Elvish Piper s and a set of Prophet of Kruphix , so he can drop creatures all the time, it's really strong!
