So I'm hosting a PROXY tourney at my school (We're all broke teens), and the people there are mostly kitchen table players. So I'm making a flyer that explains different competitive decks in the format. I'm wondering if I'm missing anything.
- Infect
- Burn
- Eldrazi
- Affinity
- RG Tron
- 8-Rack
- Soul-Sisters
- U-tron
- RU Delver
- Gifts
- Scapeshift
- Grishoalcannon
- Cheeri0s
- Allies?
- Elves
- Slivers?

I don't know much about Kikimite, but 61-63 Card Kikichord is really good. Look up Jeff Hoogland's list.

Elves is a definite. And suicide zoo is definitely a thing. Or any zoo deck for that matter.
Also don't make an eldrazi flyer. You don't need the eldrazi menace in school :P

Eldrazi, Merfolk, Kiki-Chord, Bogles, suicide zoo and my favourite Latern Control(remove this one if you intend on having fun)

Yea mono black. Usually consists of lili, Phyrexian Obliterators, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Phyrexian Arena, Bloodghast, Doom Blade, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Accompanied by alot of other stuff, but these are a go-in on all builds.

Hold up people- what tier are we going for? 1,2 or 3?
February 22, 2016 9:53 a.m.
TheFoilAjani says... #13
That's not a great idea. There is a big difference in power between Eldrazi and Mono Black Dev or Elves.

Yeah, but it's more up to them. I actually find elves fitting pretty well into modern.

Its not a huge tourny, hes doing it at his school with some friends. Bringing eldrazi in the mix would be suckish. I would keep it at tier 2-3. Take tier one decks off the table to make it a more stable and fun time for everyone. Just my thoughts.

these are people who play for fun. Unless there are prizes. Then we will have 10 affinity decks.

Yea if your playing with casual players bring restore balance it's a tier 2 and absolutely hilarious to play against people that don't know it

The_Dragonmaster says... #20
That was in my brain!!! But it left. I love balance.

Tiers aren't as relevant as they would be if you had experienced pilots with the particular decks.
I'm insulted that Blue Moon isn't on there. It's easily tier 1.5 or 2.

The_Dragonmaster says... #24
Yeah I have blood moon recorded now. Actually never heard of it before this. Looked it up and it looks fun.

ducttapedeckbox says... #25
It wasn't a very common deck due to Twin being the default UR control build. It has a decent Eldrazi game (or as decent as it can get) and has been placing relatively well.

I think it's funny you have what I assume is Storm listed as simply Grapeshot. Anyways, this sounds fun are the people at your school like...good? Because if people proxy up affinity they're going to walk in unknowing of how to play the deck and get stomped haha.

The_Dragonmaster says... #27
I have a guy who knows how to play decks, but not how to build them. So this flyer is perfect for him. Everyone else will need pointers and some help after they choose a deck. Then I can teach them how to play them the most effectively.
February 22, 2016 10:12 a.m.
Um. I know this has been said but it's insulting you forgot both JUND and JUNK.
Also, please rename Grapeshot to Storm....please. For humanity's sake.

I would try to list things, but i'm stuck on mobile right now. So try looking here for current best decks.
February 22, 2016 12:14 p.m.
The_Dragonmaster says... #30
Okay thanks! On my flyer Grapeshot is now Stormshot and Puresteel Paladin storm is now Steelstorm.
February 22, 2016 2:26 p.m.
lemmingllama says... #31
Puresteel Storm should actually be called Cheeri0s
February 22, 2016 2:40 p.m.
TheFoilAjani says... #33
The_Dragonmaster That's literally what the deck is called. Please stop hurting us storm players. It makes me sad.
The_Dragonmaster says... #2
Would Kikkimite be considered competitive? What about Abzan Co?
