Alright so I'm curious about how she works and how I could make her ability far more useful than it already is. Will putting Illusionist's Bracers on Iona, Shield of Emeria when she is placed onto the battlefield mean you can choose another creature for another colour? - Currently running B/W Deck so if there are any other cards that could do similar, please suggest them
Illusionist's Bracers wouldn't work for 2 reasons.
Iona's ability is a triggered ability, not an activated ability.
Her ability will have already resolved by the time you would be able to equip her since equipping can only be done at sorcery speed.
You could, however, use Strionic Resonator to copy the ETB trigger when you cast her to choose another color.
Fun combo: Make Strionic Resonator a creature and equip it with Illusionist's Bracers . Pay 2 to activate Resonator, and then the Bracers will trigger, copying the Resonator's copy ability. This allows you to choose 3 colors.

Actually, Iona, Shield of Emeria is a static ability. If it was a triggered ability iona would say when/whenever/one that i am not remembering. She says neither but does say as, which is static (i play Kaalia of the Vast , i know this shit).

Unfortunately you can't.
Equipping a creature is done at sorcery speed, so you would only be able to equip the Illusionist's Bracers on Iona AFTER she enters play (and after her effect is triggered). Also, Iona's ability is a triggered ability, not an activated ability, so you would need to use Strionic Resonator instead. The resonator should interact with Iona the way you want it to. Additionally, I would run Cloudshift in a deck centered around her. If you flicker her, then you get to choose a new color for her ability each time.
Also, Mimic Vat could potentially come in handy.

Oops, I didn't notice that Droxium, thanks. I'm used to ETB effects and just treated it the same without reading Iona as closely as I should have.
That means Resonator won't work either.

With Mimic Vat , you must remember to activate it at the opponents upkeep that for they can't cast spells during their turn. It would just be an expensive not as good Silence if you mimic iona during your turn.

Also, suggest any ideas to ramp up far enough to get her early, i'm not aware of many b/w ramp cards
