Is boros a viable option for modern?

I've been a Huge fan of red/white ever since I had played gatecrash and I have a deck but I'm not exactly sure how viable of an option it is.
Boros gives Burn some really neat utility. It gives lifegain in the form of Lightning Helix, Removal in the form of Path to Exile, and options with Boros Charm between 4 damage to the face, keeping some creatures alive, or Giving something double strike if that's your jam.
Another W/R deck I have found to be pretty fun is W/R Martyr Proc. Obscene amounts of lifegain is hilarious, and can be game-ending vs some decks.

what kind of archetypes do you like playing? I assume relatively aggro since you liked gatecrash boros

BoCaliv Red is the worst splash for soul sisters after blue, which adds literally nothing.

Boros Midrange "spells matter" deck with Monastery Mentor and Young Pyromancer along with Lightning Bolt, Lightning Helix, and Path to Exile.
It would have a VERY nice mana curve but pretty delicate threats.
Sounds like a fun deck though.

I've been playing around with a Boros...I don't know how to classify the deck besides with my own name for the brew, Swan Scepter. It's a control deck utilizing Isochron Scepter and cheap removal that doubles as a win con in Path to Exile, Skred, Lightning Bolt and Lightning Helix. Then the other part of the name, Swans of Bryn Argoll functions as a very quick clock that is avoids a lot of the common removal in modern while also functioning as an incredible card draw engine. The rest of the deck is fleshed out with some value creatures like Boros Reckoner and Soulfire Grand Master. Throw in some more stall and board wipes and bam, you have a deck. Testing has gone well so far. Non-red based creature match ups have gone well so far. Obviously Swans is horrible against any Lightning Bolt deck. Affinity is a joke of a match up.
