Is soul sisters an annoying deck?

I play boros sisters on mtgo, and i literally just played three game and each opponent left when I played a soul sister on turn 1 or 2. I never thought soul sisters was really that annoying of a deck to play against, is there something i'm missing?

Players in online games tend to get butthurt over the dumbest things. You're likely to get kicked for making proper plays or for playing a good deck. It's more of a reflection of them than you.

No, the MTGO community is just like that at times. A lot of people hate "tourney decks" or anything they consider a "tourney deck" or just something that runs counter spells.... It's the internet.

I'd play it out, after all, I'm there to play the game.

However, I will not buy virtual cards when I would rather own paper, so you will not encounter me on MTGO.... Sorry.

You'll meet people like that everywhere. Not a thing you can do about it. Soul Sisters isn't even remotely annoying to me anyway. Control decks can get on my nerves, but if that's how they want to play, then more power to them. Some people are just whiny brats unfortunately.

vampirelazarus the only reason I can get myself to buy online cards, is become I have no time to go to the card shop in town to play, and can't seem to find a play group near me. If i had the choice between paper magic and online magic, i'd choose paper every time.

kintighd, oh yeah, I understand that, that wasn't a stab at you or anything. Sometimes the situation dictates paper or digital.

Sorry if that came across as an attack on you. I totally understand. I know plenty of people who can't regularly play, so they play online to fill that need.

Sometimes decks heavy on Lifegain can make the game run longer than normal. That might be why folks are quitting early - they might be hopping on MTGO for a quick duel before work/class/sleep, and would rather spend the time playing faster matches.

Similarly in the paper-world, I know that I get a -little- annoyed playing decks like this, as one's opponent is constantly saying "Ohh! I gain a life!" or "Hey, did I remember to gain a life for that last creature??". Other than that, I don't really have a problem with 'em. (I like your deck BTW - I might even steal the idea.)

Life-gain decks are a valid strategy, and if people are quitting due to your deck-choice, then they're just wusses.

My friend used to play a Sisters deck, and although it was a bit annoying having to face down a 6/6 with flying and lifelink swinging at you on turn 2, the deck kinda crumples to a well timed kill spell. I don't really understand why anyone would quit when they saw a sister hit the board unless their deck was badly constructed and had no kill spells.

Anyone who concedes to turn one Essence Warden is bad and they should feel bad. They also shouldn't continue to play Magic. Don't get me wrong, your deck could be really good and you're probably good at using it, but Soul Sisters is not at the top of my list of things to be afraid of in Modern.
