Do you guys consider Soul Sisters to be a competitive Modern deck? It's a bit of a rogue deck, but it has seen success in Modern, so I feel that it is competitive. Opinions?
It's a bad deck in a competitive environment but its definitely not the worse deck out there

I don't know very much regarding the deck, but I love how this turned into a post :D. hahaha. Get those blossoms!

Soul Sisters falls flat on its face to a single Abrupt Decay , Path to Exile , or Pyroclasm . It can also have a hard time against Infect. Where it really shines is against combo decks that rely on a specific life total, like Scapeshift and Storm. Those decks rely on their opponent being at 20 or less life when they go off, but Soul Sisters has this tendency to, you know, be at 40 life on turn three.
Part of the problem Soul Sisters runs into is that it's as squishy as Death and Taxes, but lacks the disruption.

I think soul sisters is a fun deck and a fairly cheap one to build if you want to get into modern without losing your life savings. On the other hand the meta is just full of decks that are really bad match ups for it.

I took my budget America control deck 'Merica Control! Pew Pew? and stomped Sisters in testing. Granted he is missing a few key cards but had em all proxied out. Needless to say I think anything that looses to my janky control deck probably can't be overly competitive. I lose with it quite often in tourney.

I've won 3 modern tourneys in a row with soul sisters, you just have to know how to play them

Soul sisters beats most other cheap sketchy decks but it has a really bad matchup against almost every single top tier deck

I've been really wanting to get into modern, so soul sisters is my only real "competitive" option for me on my budget. Or i could built a super janky homebrew, maybe even play black and not white for once. Hmm...i'll be back starts making a new deck list
Also here is the soul sisters list i was planning on running

At local Modern tourney I watched Soul Sisters smash U/B Fairy deck, which was pretty funny. Bitterblossom turn Ajani's Pridemate into a beast with Sisters in play.

I play Soul Sisters myself, and I think it's a good budget deck that can definitely compete in smaller tournaments.
Here's my opinions on some matchups:
Soul Sisters has very good aggro matchups. Affinity can go either way, but Zoo, RDW and similar aggro matchups should be well in your favor.
Jund is definitely a winnable matchup - although you your Serra Ascendant s and Ajani's Pridemate s will probably get killed, Squadron Hawk and Spectral Procession + Honor of the Pure help a lot.
Soul Sisters does struggle against most combo decks, although white gives access to some good sideboard options. Sometimes the lifegain stops decks like Scapeshift and Storm, and Soul's Attendant s can save you against Splinter Twin .
GR Tron and UWR Control are also difficult matchups.

A friend and I are working on a boros soul sister build. And right now it seems like its running well. Adding red gives you access to Lightning Bolt and Lightning Helix to help control the opponents board. Then throw in Norin the Wary and essentially every spell played gains you life. Also adding red gives you better access to artifact hate, as well as blood moon to deal with some of the bad matchups.

I don't really know about it's competitiveness as I've yet to attend an event, but I am building one currently. Just waiting on the mail. Fun as f**k to play(on Untap.in anyway)
Sweet Soul Sisters
